These brackets are really sturdy. The price is excellent compared to similar products at the local big box hardware stores. I'll be using them to make a drop shelf for my work bench. I recommend them!

Ridiculously easy to install although I haven’t put them up just yet as I’m clearing out the storage closet and will be using these to hold up floating shelves to create more space for small storage items.

I have a half-wall next to where my computer desk is. Sometimes I need a little extra space off to the side. I've been using TV trays until now but I want something more 'tailored' and always there when needed. These brackets work great for that!They appear to come in various depths. I recommend getting the one that is as close to the depth of your desired shelf as possible. It will help against too much 'lever' load against an improperly sized bracket, and also, the levers will be more conveniently accessible if the bracket and shelf top are matched in size.Follow all the usual rules of shelf mounting: pay attention to where your studs are. I didn't even try to mount this thru just sheetrock for my current use. Since these brackets hinge, and they will be fixed to a wall on one side and shelf on the other, take that extra care to get them aligned elevation-wise and also in the vertical axis so that the hinge will work smoothly and not bind or stress the system.Normally I don't give five stars to a product unless it really "wow's" me. This is no question a solid four star product to me. Giving it five stars anyway because really... nothing is coming to mind that would wow me about a well done bracket like this and don't feel it's fair to withhold that fifth star from it.Anyway; pay attention to what you're buying, pay attention to how and where you install it, and I think you'll find this bracket set a joy to have for your use case, as I do. I needed two folding shelf brackets to use in a kitchen I am building in my camper van. These have really worked well for that purpose.I used these to create a small table that instantly folds up into place. It is very sturdy, and these brackets can hold a surprising amount of weight.I also appreciate the black color of the brackets as well that provide a much more modern and refined look than standard metal brackets.
