UPDATE: 5 showers later & the color hasn't faded AT ALL!!! I haven't been using the color depositing shampoo either so it's 100% just the dye!! I am so beyond impressed with this hair dye! I've never used a hair dye with 0 color loss several showers later. Although everytime I rinse my hair, the water turns pink but regardless there's no noticable fading. Also my hair is SO soft!! Literally 0 damage to it!! NEW FAV HAIR DYE FOR SURE!!!!! (I added a new picture for reference.)UPDATE#2: Added another image to show fading after 5 weeks (I know I'm wearing the same shirt but I promise I have changed in the last month lmfao) For reference the first picture was taken October 26 and the 2nd was taken December 1stORIGINAL REVIEW: So I have used a lot of pink hair dyes in the past & I have to say this is one on of my favs. The color is very similar to virgin pink arctic fox. I included before & after pics,,,, as you can see my hair was already a very faded pink to begin with which definitely can affect the outcome although I don't feel like it affected it too much considering it was pink and not like green or blue or something like that.It smells okay but definitely smells like your typical chemical/hair dye. Punky also sells a pink color depositing shampoo which i LOVE and smells super strong like bubblegum but this hairdye doesn't smell like that. The actual scent is very weak compared to the hair dye scent Not too overpowering or anything but definitely could smell better.I did order 2 jars because I have long hair and thank god I did!!! I would recommend buying 2 if your hair is long because rven if you don't end up needing both, it's better than running out half way through the process. I also like to put dye on my dark roots aswell to give them a nice pink tint & it definitely worked with this dye! Very faint pink tint but it's there & especially noticable in the sunlight. Also, just for reference I let it sit in my hair for 45 min.It's about as easy to use as any other hair dye. I feel like it wasn't as liquidy or easy to spread as other brands I've used so it was a more time consuming process than I'm used to, but it was so worth it!HOWEVER,, as you can see one of the jars showed up with a huge crack in it & it was leaking everywhere. Not sure what caused this but it definitely surpised me & is something I'm going to consider if & when buying punky products in the future.I can't speak for how long this dye lasts bc I just dyed it 2 days ago & because I will be using punky color depositing shampoo to maintain the color anyways (which i recommend everyone does!!)ALSO!! IF YOU HAPPEN TO GET THIS DYE ON ANYTHING DO NOT PANIC!!! rubbing alcohol will take it right off most surfaces! this stuff does stain pretty good so be prepared for you shower to turn pink when you wash it out of your hair.Overall I'm very satisfied with this hair dye. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the scent & the cracked jar. Great pigment and super durable, loved how my hair was very soft after using it.

I diluted this a lot with conditioner (probably 2:1 ratio) because I wanted a somewhat lighter pink and left it on for 45 min on the bleached portion of my hair. The color is really beautiful and vibrant and also didn’t make a huge mess.

My 7 year had been begging me to dye her hair for summertime. She wanted a bright pink, so after a lot of researching and looking for positive reviews for a child safe, washable color, I landed on this one.Pro’s:- it is very vibrant. I ordered my daughter the flamingo pink color. She has natural sandy blonde hair with light blonde highlights. The color took very well with her hair color and was a bright pink. it’s lasted very well in her hair and she washes her everyday because she a very active kid. Those are really the only pro’s I can think of. I only gave it 2 stars for those reasonsCon’s:- this stuff will stain literally EVERYTHING. I made sure to put aquaphor around her hair line, neck, and ears (and I put a good thick layer on) and it still stained where I applied the aquaphor.- rinsing it? That was an experience to say the least. This stuff stuck to any surface in came into contact with. Even our tub, which isn’t a hard shower or have any coarse places like a fiberglass tub does, was dyed pink for days! I even soaked it overnight with Clorox bleach bathroom cleaner and it still wouldn’t take the color out. After 3 days of scrubbing it with a hard scrubber and alternating between bleach and scrubbing bubbles, it finally came out. I dye my hair every 6-8 weeks and I’ve used every color you can possibly think of between bright fire engine reds to blue based black and those have never stained like this and came off easily after 1 cleaning with a basic shower cleaner and hot water. The little bit that got on the sink still has not come off either. We used this stuff over a month ago even with the amount of cleaning and scrubbing I do every week to our bathroom sinks.- if you’ve got even remotely thick hair, you will need two jars of this. My daughter has thicker hair that has some curl to it and I was scraping every bit I could out of the jar to cover her hair. I alternated between a color brush and my hands (which is what I do when I dye my hair and I have a very thick hair). Her hair is short too. It comes a little past her chin. And I was still panicking that I wasn’t going to have enough. This stuff is like a thick hair gel that we used back in the day to scrunch our hair. And I’m talking about the thickest of the thick.Just proceed with caution with using this product. Take every precaution you could think of because as much as the color has held in her hair, I will not be repurchasing this again

Love the color, use gloves and be careful when using or it stains everything.
