This was a complete joke. The icing wasn’t seal properly and completely hardened so we couldn’t use it, not only that but the gingerbread pieces were stuck to the cardboard piece they all sit on and it was impossible to get off. They all broke and honestly this was a nightmare. I would have rather not done a gingerbread house at all then experience this again. We tried to use icing we had which didn’t work. The pieces are so heavy and they’re all unevenly cut so it doesn’t properly touch one another to stay together either. Literally the biggest waste of money and time I’ve ever experience. My toddler was frustrated, didn’t understand why it was constantly breaking and falling apart. It was honestly a nightmare. I’m glad she got to at least decorate the front of one piece but it definitely wasn’t worth that much money

I was looking for an allergy friendly ginger bread house. The one we bought last year was pristine looking but had so many of those awful red and yellow food dyes that I didn't want my son to eat. I was looking for a ginger bread house that was a bit more "clean" eating, and I stumbled across this dream of a ginger bread house.Its arrived fully intact, despite our not being super careful with the box prior to opening.One thing to note, this house requires two days to build. Day one is the frame, dat two is the roof. This is important so it doesn't fall apart. I was worried about my 4 year old handling this but I told him in advance his art needs to "dry" before we can build more. To my surprise this added more anticipation and fun to the ginger bread house building project and he came from pre-k excited to "build the roof"!Somehow I missed the very awesome "gluten free" on the box and am in sheer heaven - normally I can't help munch due to a severe gluten allergy but this year we both got to munch the candy and ginger house!I can not rave about the awesomeness of this house enough. If you want something allergy friendly, without all the harmful food dyes, and that is fun for the entire family -- you've landed on the right one.

Having a kid with allergies, I was excited to find a kit that I could build with my kid and not be afraid of my child eating it. It actually tasted great and I have fantastic memories building this with my family! However, if your goal is to keep the Gingerbread House up for several days, this product is not for you. It started crumbling right away, which is due to the fact is is gluten free and vegan so does not behave like typical Gingerbread House and if you are prepared for that, you will not be disappointed.

Huge disappointment. Entire house in crumbles. My son so upset when we opened this as he was looking forward to making the house. Item is not eligible for a return. Complete waste of money.

Editing to add i was finally able to get someone to talk to & they took care of the issues. I believe it was a packing issue & hopefully no one else will have the same problem. I love yumearth & this looks like it would have been a great product. But I received my gingerbread house broken in many places. I contacted Amazon & and was so glad they sent a second house as a replacement. But this one is even more broken then the first. And I'm not findng anyway to contact them about this one. I have 2 very sad kids.

We LOVED this kit. My five year old got to participate in a holiday tradition without a worry of coming in contact with his life threatening food allergens.The icing was the bomb and actually held the gingerbread panels together perfectly. There was tons of the icing too. We had plenty and then some. We do wish there were more candies in the kit though. What was provided in the kit barely covered one side of our roof. Next year we will be buying extra YumEarth Christmas candies to be able to decorate and snack on freely without worry of running out!Overall we loved the quality, the taste, and outcome of this product and will continue to purchase!

If you really want to have a gingerbread house to put together and you have allergies like gluten. You can touch this. But it takes time. The pieces I got some were broken. The taste of the gingerbread is not horrible but not amazing either. I wouldn’t spend full price on it. Glad I got it on sale to try. I definitely wouldn’t buy it for eating but maybe for playing with.

I was thrilled to find a gluten free gingerbread kit. Unfortunately, the manufacturer packaging is very flimsy and the gingerbread was broken into many little pieces. It was impossible to assemble. Amazon was very helpful and issued a refund.
