Easy to swallow

I ordered this bottle of Folic Acid because my Folate was low when I had my bloodwork done a while back. I have been taking it for the last 6 months. I had my bloodwork done last week. I was back to normal numbers. I don’t know for sure if this brand was why but it must help maintain a healthy level. I’m happy with the size of the pill. I can’t take the larger pills. Theres no flavor. Another positive. As for the price I have to say I have paid way less for it in the past. Maybe this one is better quality. I’m not sure though. I do recommend this product. It’s working so far for me.

More than enough to share with family.400 mcg is the highest recommended daily dose.According to the CDC: Folic acid is a B vitamin. Our bodies use it to make new cells. All women of reproductive age should get 400 mcg of folic acid every day to get enough folic acid to help prevent some birth defects.Not sure why they added a small amount of calcium in these, but it may aid in manufacturing or may be primarily for pregnant women.The tablets tend to be chalky in texture and you may find them more difficult to swallow than capsules would be. You can let these dissolve in your mouth or crush and mix with liquid if that works better for you.They have absolutely no taste.Amazing Nutrition is a brand I will seek out when looking for vitamins and supplements in the future.

I am happy with the purchase of these vitamins. I feel that they are a quality product. I love that they are made in the USA. They are non-GMO and 3rd party lab tested. These have all the attributes I look for when purchasing supplements. One tablet has 400 mcg of folic acid, which is the amount that I take as part of my daily vitamin regimen. This bottle contains 500 tablets, so since I am taking just one per day, this bottle will last me for over 16 months. That's almost a year and a half, so I think that these are a terrific value. I am impressed that they are a proud supporter of Vitamin Angels. It is clearly printed on their label as you can see in my 3rd photo. It makes me feel good that when I purchase this product, I support this worthy charity too. These tablets are small and easy to swallow. Each tablet also contains 70 mg of calcium as an added bonus. I highly recommend these quality folic acid tablets.

Since my husband takes folic acid as a daily supplement, it made sense to get these pills. Pros: good quality, pure ingredients, high quality. Slight cons: no coating on the pills so they are very chalky and kick up a lot of dust in the container. They were packed well with a big wad of cotton in the top to prevent them from moving around during shipping, but there were a couple of broken pills.Another downside for our use is that my husband needs to take 1000 mcgs per day and these pills are 400 each. I don't know that it will make a lot of difference if he takes two of the pills for only 800 mcgs but we will use them.

The bottle includes 500 pills with a recommended serving being one pill. With a normal one pill a day, it's a very good value for an 18 month supply. The only supplement values in each pill are 70 mg calcium (7% recommended daily value) and 400 mcg folic acid (167% RDV). I really like that the levels are reasonable, versus some other supplements which are in the 1000%+ range. The pills are chalky like an aspirin, but very small and easy to take with water with no aftertaste.

While a lot of the tablets were still intact, there was a huge pile of powder in the jar from all the ones that had disintegrated. I had to use a mesh sifter to find get the tablets that remained out. This image shows how much of the jar was pulverized.
