Great gift
Works really good. The zoom light focus is amazing. Also has a mini plus sign focus. The widened focus shines bright as well. Makes other flashlights look bad

Very bright!
This flashlight puts out some serious lumens. One of the things I like about it is it comes with a rechargeable battery or a battery insert that uses regular AAA batteries. Very handy. It charges with USB C and comes with the charging cable. It has a 4 LED charge indicator so you can tell when it's time to recharge and when it's done recharging. The focus changes with a telescoping end tube and this is my only minor gripe. The tube slides a little to easily such that the focus may change if you bump the tube somewhat. This is not enough to cost this very handy flashlight any stars however. Highly recommended.
