I bought this to replace a very clunky model. We couldn't ever figure out how to turn on/off or adjust the fan speed. This unit is so simple to operate and now my Wife can turn on/off the fan and light from wherever she is in the house.On issue was the programming of the Alexa interface - actually the Smart Life App connection was the issue. The instructions are a bit funky to figure out - after that, the connection to the Alexa interface was a bit simpler.Overall, this is a very nice unit. None of the Light/Fan units (The part in the fan canopy) ever fit easily - 5 pounds in a 3 pound bag scenario but the operation is the best I've ever installed.

The house I bought had one of these for the living room and it broke from one of my dogs. So I ordered another and works great. It's easy to figure and already programmed to function when batteries are put in. Very affordable replacement. I never had issues with the one before but obviously dogs can break anything if left in the wrong place. I buy it again if this one needs to be replaced again.

I don't usually write reviews but I am so impressed with this product I wanted to share with others- simple to swap out for an old Hampton Bay remote kit, works perfectly. This is specifically for a ceiling fan with BOTH up and down lights, and it works perfectly and as described with lower light dimming capabilities. It also uses a conventional 9V battery (not included) unlike the old remote which required the more obscure A23 battery.

The unit was easy to install and set up but lacks the ability to reverse direction of the motor

Bought this as a replacement part and works and fits great. Easy to install, great value, buttons are easy to press, responsive and bright

This remote did not work with my Hampton Bay fan. It has an extra wire that did not connect to anything on the existing fan.

Our fan is a Gulf Coast Fan from Dan's Fan City in Florida. We had a similar unit (no Alexa) that we purchased with the fan in 2004 that wasn't responding as well as it used to. Plus since the rest of the house is integrated with Alexa, why not the bedroom fan?Instructions were good (it helped me that the old unit had the same 5 connections) and it installed fairly easily. My biggest issue was tucking all the wires in canopy because I don't have an electrical box for the fan.Setting up the app and Alexa integration was smooth, easy & quick. All working as described.

This product has some great features, the quality of the remote control is ok, the receiver is hard to fit because is ticker than the average size, if you lack enough room it may be very difficult to place it or it may not fit at all, I managed to make it fit but it was hard to put it it in place.
