Love this much more sturdy than my old metal one

Not bad as a space saving kitchen utensil, but I should have bought the metal steamer instead as you can't put a pot lid on top of this as the weight would make it fold in on itself

Well worth buying

Husband bought it to go with our new set of Ingenio pans. It doesn't fit in any of the saucepans , you can't use it to sit over other contents. It either collapses in to the pan (and the water) or falls outwards - you cannot lock it to hold a position. You can't fit a tefal ingenio lid over it so the contents don't steam well. Tried it on each of the pans and the only ones it would even sit open in was flat over the lower wider saute pan (which I wasn't intending to use and wouldn't steam over anyway). Due to the lack of a lid and any means of containing the steam it failed miserably to successfully steam half a pak choi! Finally one of the edges of one of the sections melted. (It seems to be plastic not silicon). In years of cooking this is the biggest waste of kitchen space and money I have encountered.

Would be a good, non-scratch bit of kit had it fitted my Ingenio pans! Even in the largest of the set, the steamer is to proud to allow the lid on. You can only find this out once you have removed all the packaging with scissors. Tried to contact Tefal customer services by email before buying to check this but they did not reply, so took a punt. It will be fine in other pans at home but I wanted it for my Ingenio pans in the camper.

Lo uso en una olla grande con un poco de agua en el fondo para la comida china que ya viene lista, es muy práctico y se nota la diferencia de cocinarla así a cocinarla de otro modo.Se lava rápido y se guarda fácil ya que se encoge como el bastón de son goku, es una maravilla.

Ik heb eerder bij de toko een bamboe stoommandje gekocht maar dat werkte voor mij toch niet fijn, daarna deze aangeschaft. Dit mandje is verstelbaar qua maat (hoe groot of klein de "vleugeltjes" worden uitgevouwen) en heeft pootjes waarmee hij op de bodem van de pan staat. Inmiddels al meerdere keren gebruikt en super handig. Fijn ook dat hij in de vaatwasser kan.

Ottimo cestello per la cottura a vapore, comodo perché facilmente adattabile a pentole di diametro diverso, igienico perché si lava senza problemi e non si ossida come invece quello in metallo! Acquisto consigliato!
