Magnets are tiny and not strong. Compass is inaccurate and has Chinese symbols, not NSEW labels so it's completely useless. For $19 this is not even dollar store crap. Save yourself the time and money and order a different set. We will be returning.

Magnets are incredibly weak in every sense of the word. Barely attract or repell but also shatter very easily.Battery holder was missing spring so battery wouldn't make connection.Compass did not function at all.Junk, junk, and more junk.

It took forever for this to actually arrive. I was worried I was going to have to cancel it and re-order. The size of the box is small and compact. There are lot's of fun things to build in this small box. My daughter spent hours playing with the magnets, and she went all over the house testing what it would stick to - eh. Lot's of fun. Price is great. Is giftable yes it sure is. Supervision with kids is always a plus and should be thought about when letting them play with this toy. Fun for the kids!

What a fun magnet kit! The set has a bunch of different magnets and other electric items/experiments to try. The instructions were easy enough to follow and the magnets have different color paints to help kiddos learn about them.
