I literally bolted it on, and it ran as if the engine were brand new. I was really pleased with the performance and it was identical to the one that was on there. I did do a complete tuneup though at the same time which helped a little and I bought that from Amazon to.

I had a honda generator (EB 5000X) with a GX340 engine that had been sitting since irma. I noticed it wouldn't start, and found the gas line completely disintegrated. I took apart the carb, and it badly needed cleaning and a rebuild. The air filter was pretty shot too. Being an old generator I knew some repairs were needed. I looked to buy these parts separately, mostly gaskets - I would just clean the carb myself. This kit included everything and more at the fraction of the cost I would play for a rebuild kit and filter. Plus it included a fuel line, carburetor, fuel filter, spark plug and other extras. I gave it a shot and glad I did. Used everything except the oil sensor. Didn't have to waste time to clean any old parts, just had to put it back together. Fired right up and now runs great! I didn't need to make ANY adjustments! It also looks like the carb has a bigger drain for the bowl on the side - very easy to access. In the pic you can see the orange dot at the bottom, i currently have the screw out getting it ready for storage. I like this, when in storage I can drain the gas easily so it doesn't gum up the carburetor. Only regret is not getting the dual feed so i can run it on propane too.

Great buy and looks to be a quality exact fit carb - except it didn't fit my EB5000 quite right. See pictures. I did swap parts from the new carb to the old one after giving it a good cleaning. Generator is running fine but would have been nice to just plug and play with the new carb. Nice to have the new fuel line and air cleaner too. Didn't take a chance on the no-name generic spark plug though. Might check your carb's throat diameter before purchasing. The gap shown would create a large vacuum leak and a very lean running machine, if it would run at all.
