Let there be light!
I bought two of these initially, but trial fit quickly showed that four would be very much better I planned to have one over each worktop which in fairness would probably have been adequate, but decided to use two each side after all, using the short linking cable which is advertised on the same page. Our kitchen is fairly big and the worktop were always in shadow from the wall cabinets.Fitting them was a breeze, but take note that the dimensions given on the very basic fitting guide are not accurate. The actual numbers escape me for the moment, but the distance given between centres for the slots that the bracket click into was not right, but I have a "measure twice and cut once" approach to these things so I spotted it before it became a problem.Initially I powered them from wall sockets and they made a huge difference. Since then I have installed a permanent supply from a wall switch incorporating a 1 amp fuse for safety. Each unit has a switch of it's own, but there is no through link to the next in line. So if you have two or more linked using the linking cables, switching off the first in line using the switch on the unit itself also switches off the others "downstream". Not a problem in our case as we don't use those switches, but would have an impact if you wanted to turn them on and off individually. Our cabinets have a reasonably deep recess behind the trim piece at the bottom of the cabinet and the lights hide in there very unobtrusively. They give an amazing amount of light for the tiny power consumption and I consider them to be excellent value for the price.Delivery was very prompt, although the packaging for the second pair was slightly eccentric. The supplier must have run out of the right size boxes so they turned up in a box that would easily have held a dozen or more! And the best bit is I earned a shed-load of Brownie points from the Memsahib!

A terrific amount of light for just 8 watts!
I bought this to illuminate the part of my desk that is in the shadow of a shelf above. I have to say it does the job splendidly - almost too well!I will be ordering another soon as the main light in my under-stairs home office, to replace the 3 x 50w halogen spots that seem to give out more heat than light. This light would be perfect under kitchen wall units to illuminate the worktops - in fact I will be replacing mine with a few of these in due course. As others have said it is a very "white" light. If that bothers you I'm sure you could place tinted cellophane or similar over them to soften the effect. As for delivery, I am a "Prime" member and it arrived less than a day after I placed the order, at a time that was convenient to me. "Prime" is definitely worth considering if you order regularly from Amazon . . .UPDATE: I ran this lamp all day yesterday and it barely got warm - perfect! BTW it is not clear from the product info but it requires a special mains lead which is supplied with the product in white to match. The lead has bare brown / blue wires so that it may be connected to a standard 3-pin plug or into a junction box, etc, should you wish to run it off a standard light switch. If you buy two lights, though, and intend to link them together you will need to purchase a special double-ended link lead separately.

Literally a 'brilliant' product
I have had florescent fittings under my kitchen cabinets for at least 15 years suffering several fitting and many tube failures. When a fitting failed recently I decided to look into Led Strip Lights and came across this Wattlite 550 mm fitting that appeared to be the closest match. Having scanned the internet for prices I discovered that the fitting is also available in 'warm white' which is a closer match to the smaller florescent tubes used for cupboard lighting that has a slightly yellow glow, however the one here in Amazon is Cool White that has a much more pure and some say slightly blue tint as well as being brighter. Having done some research I decided to try this cool white fitting from Amazon that worked out a few pounds cheaper than the same fittings online and in Screwfix. I fitted this where the old fitting was and was amazed at how bright this LED fitting is - much brighter than the old 13 Watt florescent tubes. It is a far superior light for working under, although it may appear slightly clinical, this is why the regulations for office lighting specify that 'cool white tubes must be fitted. Anyway, I was so impressed that I have purchased 2 more of the to replace the other old florescent fittings. They should also last a lot lot longer.

easy to fit, bright lights
Replaced lights under kitchen cabinets with these LEDs since bulbs kept blowing.Very easy to fit and plug straight into mains plug (no transformer required).Very bright pure white light which suits my kitchen decor.I angled them so the lights do not shine directly into anyone's eyes.I have some more on order for fitting inside my glass-fronted cabinets, which leads me to the only downside - leads!Apparently there is a cable to link a number of these lights together but I can't find anywhere - would have been nice to have one in each kit for the price.

Linkable LED Striplight, Ultra Bright 605 Lumen Output
Purchased as a replacement for a very old and tired 2D light fitting used to illuminate the under stair cupboard. The problem with the old fitting was that it took a long time to reach its full brightness - no good for a quick 'fetch' from under the stairs... so wanted an instant light.I could have purchased a high frequency 2D light for less cost, however, the small footprint of this LED Striplight meant that I had room to install it immediatly above the door to the cupboard - providing excellent illumination (much brighter that the 2D fitting it replaced) with very little shadowing. In summary - my reasons for selecting were:a) Instant on, b) Bright light (605 lumen is about 1.5x 50W halogen), c) small footprint (need to allow for the mains plug- included) and d) Low power consumption.
