This one is like a fitted sheet. Has its advantages if you ever tried lifting a King size mattress and trying to slide it into a fully enclosed sheath.(even for 2people trying) disadvantage is that almost all fitted sheets don't wrap over the corners that great and hold when you sleep and move around. I'm happy with mine.

The materials used for waterproofing is thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and is considered 100% food safe and is used in medical applications. Non-toxic and 100% BPA free, so it is also safe for babies. It is also completely inert, so no toxic fumes either.

Q: Will the dark color discolor my white mattress?

I would say no since the under side that will be against your mattress is white … make sure to wash this item in cold water gentle cycle and make sure it’s completely dry before putting on your mattress … to be safe maybe you will want to put a fitted sheet on top of your mattress and then this item on top of the fitted sheet
