Wish I’d had these for my mother
A loved one has had to go into assisted living for memory loss & I got this kit to take over when I visit. She absolutely loves the activities & it also gives me a way to get some of her friends involved. My mother had dementia & I spent lots of time trying to come up with activities for her. I so wish I’d had this for her!The activities help exercise the “memory muscles” and also encourage being more social. As dementia progresses people turn more inwards, so anything you can do to get them to interact is helpful. The facility my loved one lives in was so impressed with this kit they ordered several themselves. Thanks for a great product that can bring joy & is also beneficial!

Great activity for seniors with dementia
I ordered this game for my mom who suffers from dementia and she loved it. The game cards have nice colorful photos that make her smile (pets, flowers, birds). The set increases the levels of difficulty by adding more photos to each card. Although she has difficulty with her words, she tries her best to read the names on the cards which is a good challenge for her. The cards are strong and good quality. I like that this included flyers with conversation starters - definitely good to promote conversation - and the activity book has some great suggestions. I was very impressed with this activity set.

Sturdy pieces!
The pieces are made of sturdy cardboard, very thick and durable. They should last a long time. The images are bright and easy to see. Comes with conversational ideas. Some of them tap into memory, which may be difficult for some people. But overall this is well thought out and a good addition for activities of people who struggle with sight and/or with memory or processing issues. A good way to provide some interactive time to connect with someone.

Mental Stimulation
While it is very easy to mix and match the tiles, it helped to stimulate my mom's mind. She is in the middle stages of dementia and this was the first mental stimulation game that she actually does. I tried other types of puzzles, but she lost concentration quickly. The pictures are colorful. The tiles are easy to hold and place on the correct board. She conversed about several pictures, based on memories from the past. This is something that she will use daily.

Good puzzle, but…
Love:Pictures are vivid and crisp, easy to engage my loved one in some fun.Dislike:It’s very perplexing! The pieces have all warped after first 2-3 times of play and no longer sit snugly in the trays. (We have not wiped them or anything)Now it’s almost impossible to store it in its box.

Love These For My Mom
My mom has dementia and I’ve tried doing puzzles with her, but those are beyond her mental capacity now. These are perfect because they are simple and the pictures are familiar items. We sit at the table and build up picture by picture while talking about the picture. Overall, I recommend these for anyone who has a family member with dementia.

Good Activity for Seniors
Like others, I found the big dementia label off-putting, but I knew that when I ordered this set. My grandmother is struggling in the nursing home and her memory is not so good these days. My mom visits her every day and struggles to have something to talk about. This game makes it much easier and stimulates conversation. Grandma loves the bright, colorful images although we avoid the cat one since she had to have her very old cat put to sleep this past year and images of cats upset her greatly. The pieces are thick and easy for her to handle, and the matching is so simple she can do it without frustration. All around, a great activity.
