Excellent t-pins, with nice range of sizes, in an excellent box
I use t-pins with macrame and for pinning up paper on a cork board, and the different sizes in this package give me choice to use the most apt size of pin. The pins are sharp, smoothly finished, and look nice for t-pins. They are sturdy, too.The box they come in is really useful: there’s an individual compartment for each size of pin, and the plastic is sturdy, thick and smooth. The box also has a sturdy blue latch that seems like it will last for awhile. The lid keeps the pins in each compartment in place, so they don’t get mixed up together. There are lots of t-pin options on Amazon, but I can recommend this brand as smoothly finished, good quality pins, versatile with variations in size, and with a very helpful and above average storage box.

Rusts in contact with Tacky (PVA) glue
I bought these pins after having an issue with regular sewing pins rusting after using them to starch and block crochet snowflakes and leaving rust spots on them. I figured it was the fault of the pins and found these in the search for good pins for blocking that don't rust. The method I used for stiffening the snowflake used Aleen's Tacky glue and water mixture because I live in a dorm and don't have access to a stove. When I used these they still rusted. I looked into it and since its a PVA glue, it produces acetic acid (vinegar) when it dries which can cause rust on steel. These are very sturdy and I'm sure these work great and don't rust when in contact with just water. I just wanted to leave this to warn anyone who might be wanting to use this to avoid rust when using the glue method for stiffing and blocking a project and are considering these pins for that reason.

These work perfectly for my husband's taxidermy business. They are strong and made of quality metal. You can't buy this quality in any stores for this price.

Sturdy, sharp enough for most fabric and shorter than average
I like the fact that these t pins are only one inch in length. Typically they are one and a quarter all the way to two inches in length, especially if you get them for using on wigs or for macrame. I am using mine for macrame and also for pinning fabric to a dressmakers form. My macrame cork board is about a3/4 of an inch thick, maybe a bit more and having a shorter t pin is perfect. And my form for sewing doesn't have very thick padding, and has a fiberglass core, so typical sewing pins and t pins don't work so well with it either. These are perfect for both of my issues. Very pleased. They are sturdy and the tips are nice and sharp so the poke through even heavy macrame cord or denim without a problem . The plastic case is nice, too and the little lock tab on it keeps the lid closed until I am ready, so they do t accidentally open in my craft to-go bag! No more stabbing my fingers in the bottom of the bag. Very happy with this order!
