Awesome 21st Century Upgrades to Classic
This mid-tech umbrella shows that building a better mousetrap is possible. Many of us who never gave thought to living long enough to see an electric umbrella now can say that they have experienced that modern marvel. Using the included USB cable allowed fully charging the umbrella in roughly 30 minutes. Time will tell how long the charge will last.We also can say that we now have seen everything. These observations relate to the only negative note regarding this well-engineered product. Although the cable is included, a charging “block” is not. The better news is that most of us have an abundance of these cubes. The umbrella very smoothly and quickly extended to its full length and opened just as easily. The 46-inch diameter is a true happy medium between more portable varieties that often do not provide adequate cover and oft-unwieldy golf umbrellas. Two people would be a tight squeeze. The sturdy reinforced frame looks like it nicely would stand up to a brisk wind. The roughly five-pound weight is light enough to easily carry around but heavy enough to be noticeably absent if you put it down. The handy carrying strap also helps not leaving the umbrella behind.Speaking as a guy who plans to put his money where his mouth is, the umbrella makes a great practical gift that will inspire confidence.

Easy one handed opening and closing, heavy for size as expected
The media could not be loaded. My dislikes? The automatic umbrella closes to the same degree as a normal one, where you have that give on the times you need to further fold up and wrap the band around to pack up. Sure, it's on every compact umbrella but I was hoping otherwise with the motors. See the picture for the end state of the umbrella closure.Second, it's got some weight to it. Expected really, but when it's open it's definitely feels heavier then normal at the top. I think my wrist would prefer a longer handle when held in my off hand, as it just fits inside of my palm target then a bar that extends beyond the width of my hand. For short jaunts from the car to a building and back? This is nothing to worry about. For extended periods though outside, I would worry about discomfort for my wrists. The weight may be heavier then a normal compact umbrella but nothing to bad, but it's the short handle combined with the top-heavy balance that gets me, at least for my off-hand.That out of the way, it's definitely starting in my car. Being able to just open or close the umbrella one handed while holding it out the door when it's raining it's just a nice convenience against twisting to get both arms out of the car to open the umbrella. Worth the price... Debateable for that reason alone, but considering I'm usually carrying something from groceries to packages when leaving a building, it will be nice to open the umbrella one handed over setting things down to do so once or awkwardly juggle things to do so instead.Build quality looks and feels nice. That weight I mentioned earlier in the dislikes is due to this. The joints and primary supports feel sturdy and solid, only the tines at the end really flex as designed.Coverage for the umbrella seems to be on the larger side of things for a compact umbrella, always a plus.USB-C port, so no proprietary cables required. So I can freely leave this in the car and charge it when I need to while driving. The button to operate is easy to reach, but fortunately doesn't feel like it would be easy to press accidentally. Unless you place your thumb on the switch directly, I haven't really had an accidental press yet.Long-term durability sadly is unknown, as only time will tell. Nothing stands out though as a way piece to became with though, beyond the normal care an umbrella needs with those tines. In the end, quite happy so far with the umbrella when getting groceries.

Perfect invention for arthritic hands.
This is such a wonderful invention. Some umbrellas have fiddley buttons that are so hard for older people to operate with arthritic hands. This electric umbrella takes away all that frustration and embarrassment when out in public. I cannot believe how easy this is to operate. I love how you can hold it out the car door and open it one handed. It's like a magical umbrella just appears out of nowhere. I have opened and closed it over 50 times and the battery still seems like new. It does seem like it would get heavy if you had to walk a long way but I try not to walk far in the rain. I love this umbrella and highly recommend it.

It is smart !
Encountering a product that sparks the inner geek is a rare delight, and this umbrella does just that—it's bound to bring a smile to your face. I couldn't resist showcasing it to my family; it's an innovation nobody thought possible. With a battery and motor, opening and closing the umbrella becomes a breeze, brilliantly executed. Unboxing feels akin to the experience of revealing an Apple product, complete with artwork featuring a rocket, moon, and astronaut—a glimpse into a future where all umbrellas may be motorized. Lift it, and you sense its weight; not your ordinary umbrella, thanks to the battery and motor. The one-button operation, with up and down arrows, requires pressing the top or bottom for opening or closing. It includes a USB-C charging cable (though most have one already). The only hiccup was the charging port cover, challenging to open with nails—resolved with a sim card opener. Despite this, I adore the umbrella and can't wait to flaunt it or use it in the rain. You'll love it too. Highly recommended.

Amazing
Works so good and seems so solid! I really like this thing and I can just feel the sturdiness and how long it’ll last. Takes usb c cable to charge that’s also included, pretty short but not bad. I’ll update if I get any issues. But it seems like I’m gonna have to wait for the rainy season again in Florida so I’ll constantly have o use it. But for now it’s a solid buy and I’ll use it for years to come. Hopefully there’s a way to replace the battery if it goes bad though.

A little noisy, but definitely cool
Ever dislike it when your umbrella shoots open and flings water everywhere? I did. This umbrella has a controlled open and close using an electric motor. Albeit a little noisy, it's an impressive device that eliminates the spring loaded flinging of water droplets while delivering the classic experience of an umbrella. This would be a nifty gift for someone or a fun addition for the techy in your life.
