Lens has terrible optical properties
Poor quality. Lens is heavy and has poor optical quality. Does not work well with Iphone 15 Pro Max. This company does not stand behind their product. Do not be fooled by the packaging and advertising - this is another low quality product shipped from outside the US with no way for the end user to effect customer support. Avoid at all costs.

Takes a nicely detailed photo
The quality of the lens appears to be good and the image quality is crisp. I don’t know if my complaint is with Apple or shiftcam but I have an iPhone 15 pro max. Unfortunately this “telephoto” lens cannot be used with either my 3x or 5x iPhone lenses. It will only work with the 1x lens so the result is just a 2x telephoto which is different than implied in the shiftcam examples. I will probably keep the lens because of the image quality but I’m disappointed that it does not work with the 15 pro max as well as it should. I do use it with a 3rd party camera app (procamera).

Mediocre Wide angle lens
The image taken with or without the lens attachment didn't quite feel any different. Only a little bit of expanded view. Returned the item

I phone 14 pro max issues
The camera case has screw attachments over 2 of the 3 I phone camera lenses. The I phone only wants to use the lense which does not have a attachment for the shift cam lense. Sent shiftcam a e Mail about it. No resolution. It has to be in the I phone settings. No help. Can’t figure it out. I’ll return it soon.

Company is a sham and product is horrible.
Ordered several items from them via Amazon and several others direct from their website - part of what was ordered via Amazon never arrived and none of what I ordered via their website arrived - customer services has given no real answers when they bother to reply at all, and I paid for nearly $1k of their products. What I do have doesn't work well unless you use their case and their clips and neither was available via amazon (hence why I had to try to order direct.)Don't bother. It's all trash...

Worst guidance EVER
I’m so glad I returned this as it was useless. Once mounted, the lens obstructed the view. No further instructions offered. The pro grip is great but don’t purchase the lens!!!!!

Don’t buy!!
Have bought multiple devices from Shiftcam - some through Amazon and others direct. Progrip and VND are ok. The 1.33 anamorphic lens is unsat and won’t lock when using with VND. Poor design! Dealing with their customer service is a terrible ordeal. Buy only through Amazon if you must since at least you can return. I am stuck with a 1.33 anamorphic lens that they won’t take back.

soft focus
Avoid. Very soft focus except for the center. Also bad chromatic aberration.I purchased this directly from ShiftCam

No better than the lenses that are a fraction of the price
Having "dabbled" and already owning a "cheap" telephoto lens for my iPhone I decided I wanted to upgrade to a better quality lens more akin to my digital SLR. Looking at the content online this lens looked to fit the bill perfectly but I'm afraid to say I was seriously dissappointed by the picture quality provided. It was no better than the cheap lens I owned and, in some circumstances, doing a side by side comparison it was worse. The build quality was good but ultimately it's about the image and it comes seriously short of expectations. Used with my iPhone 12 Pro max.

You can’t use the native IOS (iPhone) camera app
The question this product asks is, can your phone replace a camera? Well first do you want to take better photos, thats subjective as to what medium does this best. For me photography is about having control. Control over every aspect. Therefore for me, an iPhone user I am inherently limited by the native camera app on an iPhone. This matters because to understand this products major flaw, one must first understand how the iPhone camera works. The 0.5x, 1x, 2x and 3x buttons on screen in the app would lead you to believe this is what camera you are selecting. To a degree it is, but due to complex algorithms the phone is actually taking data from all 3 cameras at once. Thats the first problem. Second, sometimes the camera app will switch which camera you choose to use automatically depending on the light. This means you may think you are using the telephoto camera but actually you’re stuck on the macro one.To resolve this, one must download a third party camera app that lets you stay on one camera without switching.
