I am an adult and bought child Small 7-12yrs. I tried so many vests and this was the best fit I found. I am pear shaped and other vests large enough for my hips were HUGE in the chest. I usually wear small tops and XL bottoms. This meets my needs. Still a little big in the chest but not bad. I can still wear a sweatshirt underneath.

Ordered this for my baby in career day! The sizes run big. She wears a 5t, but I had to return the small for an extra small.
