Hello, Thanks for reaching out. Hand tufted one is 100% merino wool filling and has a sleek finishing as it's handcrafted by local artisans. Other 4 inch one is also a great product however it's processed by machine quilting and consists of 40% of merino wool as filling. If you're a hot sleeper, you should gor for hand tufted one as wool is a great thermobalancing fiber keeping you cool in warm nights. On the contrary it will keep you warm in cold winter time. Other 4 inch is for the ones looking for thicker layer as a mattress topper. All our products will perform to your satisfaction anyway.
