I am shocked that these batteries are still available on the market place. This old phone is somewhere near a decade old. It's ONLY use, at this point, is to sit n my bathroom connected to a blue tooth speaker and play music for me while I shower. When it's battery took it's dirt nap, I thought "well, old friend, you had a good run..."But before ditching it, I checked Amazon. "Looky there, you can still get a battery for this old museum piece of a phone!"Here's to another decade of Led Zeppelin, Van Halen and Waylon Jennings while I scrub my body, as this old phone and it's brand new battery live on!

Having such a low charge on a battery while being stored is not good for the battery and it is not a good sign for any buyer to receive a battery in such a state. It could mean that the battery is defective and will not hold a charge.That being said, it appears that after being fully charged and then removed from the phone it held a charge at 100% for several days. Then after being replaced back into the phone it appears to working just fine. At the end of the day without seeing much use it was down to @ 93%. The next day, after charging over night, with average use it was down by only 84%.So, by this limited experience, I would venture to say that I am pleased with my purchase and will give it a good recommend with 4 stars. I with hold the 5th star because of the low charged state that it was in when it was delivered to me. As it is it may be working fine right now but there is no way of knowing if there was any damage done to it while it was in such a low charged state. Time will tell.But then again, if it only lasts a year or so then it was still a good deal for the price.OK! Now that I've actually had the battery for a couple of weeks of steady use I feel better about endorsing this product. Your chances of getting a dud is still there but the chances are better that you'll get a good deal.

I think this is a refurbished battery since it has slight dents in multiple areas. However it is marked as new. I thought I ordered a 2800 mHz battery but I received a 2700. It works better than my original battery but it still had to be charged multiple times in one day. I am considering a return but I might keep it for back up battery. Price was good.

The photo and description showed product as 2800mAH. What I received was a 2700mAH battery. If I am correct, the mAH rating indicates how low a charge will last. We will see how it performs.
