If you want to get a full understanding of this book, then I would reccommend being well versed in biology and or microbiology, other than that it is a great and informative book, and the shipping was fast.

This book is the only book you need (other than a identification/field guide book) if you are getting into mycology. The best mycology book I’ve ever had and I am a urban mushroom farmer, working with fungi almost everyday.

This book is like the yellow brick road leading you into the fifth kingdom. The bricks were built out of thorough scientific experiments and detailed observations, placed together with the care, humour and fascination of Bryce Kendrick . It takes the Scenic Route as it strolls through vineyards of wild yeasts, through forests filled with fungi, and deep into the microscopic views of a fungus that loves poo. This book is outstanding and I would recommend it to anyone.

This is possibly the most complete and well written book about fungi I have ever read. The author of this book clearly is an outstanding author and scholar.
