I just love the way that Ms Ford tells a story. She brings the characters to life with her words, makes them have flaws which makes us readers connect with them. And she definitely does that with this one. My favourite of the series so far. So buckle up we are in for a flirty, fun, sweet, swoony, and yes, a bit spicy go at it! Loved it. This is the 3rd book in the series.Kanan was best friends with Emerson's father and part of the mission from where he didn't return two years ago. He feels guilty for returning when her father didn't. There is an attraction between them but Kanan holds back from doing anything about it. Now she is back from college after being betrayed by her mother, she needs his help again. An endearingly lovely tale that provides an insight into survivor's guilt among survivors of strong incidents in which there are injuries and death involved. A true thought-provoking experience.

Guilt, that is all Kanan feels. He feels guilty that because his best friend died and he feels guilty that he is in love with his best friend’s daughter. He was going through life, just surviving, until she shows up on his doorstep, with nothing. Her whole life has been ripped away, and of course Kanan will protect her and take care of her, just like his best friend would want. He will never touch her, even though it kills him, because he loves her so much! Emerson, her whole life has been turned upside down. And she knows that there is only one person she can count on, Kanan, her dad’s best friend and the man she is desperately in love with!!! This book has everything, age-gap, angst, heartbreak and of course the HEA we all love!!

Love this and the series all the characters are great and really enjoyed the storyline can't wait to get into the other books in the series Sewell.

Another great book added to this series. The men in these books have been through so much. Glad they find women to stand by their sides.

Gah poor Kanan in love with this best friend’s daughter. And it’s so much more complicated than that. Emerson is stubborn and refuses to give up on him. Gah I just love how he is so protective and then he gets possessive in the sexiest way!
