Extremely flawed laptop....don't get this is you spend most of your time wireless...
I've owned this laptop for around 2 years and this is the worst laptop I've ever used. It's so bad that we went back to using a rickety $350 Acer it was meant to replace. This review is a long time coming. You've dun pissed me off for the last time, Laptop.Cons:The wifi reception is ridiculously weak. I am sitting just 8 feet from my wireless router as I type this and it has between 2-3 bars out of 5. I cannot go to the other side of my house where my iPad, MBP, iPhone, and just about any other wireless device gets nearly perfect signal. Before this house, I had a small 2 bedroom apartment and this laptop could not stay connected from the bedroom to a wireless router in the living room. The fan goes non-stop. I have only firefox open from a clean boot and the fan has not stopped since i've been typing this. The trackpad is awful. Sometimes it works perfectly and sometimes it will not register touches and gestures correctly. Seems to coincide with when the laptop gets hot.Monitor sometimes autodims as it has some sort of ambient light sensor. I have yet to figure out how to stop it from happening. Most of the time this isn't a problem, but when it happens, it's very frustrating.Has an issue with overheating. I bought this from best buy and they've already replaced the hard drive once. It seemed to resolve the issue mostly, though it has powered off randomly since, just nowhere near as much.Pros:Monitor is beautiful.Touch screen works very well.Sony Pen worked well for drawing.I'm typing this review as I'm setting this up to GIVE to my father in law in Peru. I actually feel bad for him, but it wasn't my decision. If it were up to me, I'd burn this POS in the fire pit outside. Unfortunately, what mama says goes. Good luck, Pepito.

Fast delivery and service. My husband loves the computer and used it for his online schooling for his bachelors.

Returned due to Sluggishness, mushy keypad, and noisy fan
Since I am the first reviewer for this product on Amazon, I will rate it a generous 3. Understand, however, I returned this laptop because of a few key issues that are worth noting. As mentioned, I returned Sony Vaio Flip for KEYBOARD and FAN issues. Before detailing, let me cover some Pros.Pros: Nice, beautiful display.Great idea for a FLIP SCREEN... if you are looking for a 360 degree 2-in-1 flexible convertible laptop, Sony has the most unique and useful design to date. The flip is a stunner. ANd it works well. I loved the design.Satisfactory performance.Beutiful styling.Cons:Styling much go with performance... performance was often laggie. REALLY? My Dell 5 year old dual-processor laptop was just as fast as this Sony. HOW?? This is an i5 Intel chip with 8GB ram!!! I had but 3 GB Ram and a much slower chip. Just being "OK" in performance is hardly worth the price of an upgrade. Biggest reason for 2 to 3 stars is the dull performance. If that weren't enough.. the keyboard is mushy. Ugh. Very hard to type on this long term. Yes, it has the "island" keyboard that so many use (and only a few have done a good job with). Sony's keyboard actually sags in the middle and this kills responsiveness. Oh, nice that it is backlit, but that cannot make up for a horrible typing experience. Main reason #2 for a score of 2-3... mushy keyboarding. Ugh.NOISY fan. I had heard about this from others before I bought. I thought... I am sure it is no worse that my 5 year old dell. BOY was I wrong. It starts out quiet and then BOOM... this fan kicks in.. I was in a meeting (conference room setting) and 3 people looked over at me when my fan kicked into high gear. Then it stays on for a long, long time. Really annoying.Only 2 USB ports? Really? Let's say you have a mouse with you and a USB stick... where do you plug in a printer or another item? Just too often (when traveling) you need an extra USB. Kudos that both usb's that they have are 3.0.And for this price point: No AC standard for the Wifi? And no SSD... I can live without an SSD actually... but at least give us a combo drive at this cost... so many have gone to a combination drive with 8GB to 32GB of SSD along with the Hard drive, producing a fast start up machine PLUS plenty of storage.. but now, now I am getting too picky. :)Really, a nice laptop... I tried all I could to keep this beauty... but I couldn't get past the limitations. Especially that horrible keyboard.PS... no trouble at all with the touch screen ... no problem with the included WiFi card in it... perhaps drivers were updated. (from other reviews).Last... I have been told that SOny is getting out of laptop market... selling to another company. Too bad. But this would give me pause of buying a current model from them. Wait to see what happens.

do yourself a favor and dont get this laptop. ...
do yourself a favor and dont get this laptop. The fan is sooo noisy. I cant even use it in class anymore because of how loud it is. It has also had countless software issues and now it wont even turn on with the power button so i have to get it fixed.

Very nice looking piece of Junk
Do yourself a favor and dont by this disposable machine. I purchased one in feb, July spent one month in service... November back to service. Now they tell me it has humidity and that that the guarantee is void..The machine is almost new (since never get to use it) and the repair is more than 600 bucks//Now i have a nice paper weight.
