Outstanding creative book.

I used to hate it when black continued 3…Nf6 after 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4. Sure, I relished the Max Lange Attack (4. d4 ed 5. 0-0 Bc5), but I always struggled against the main line, 4. d4 ed 5. 0-0 N:e4. The modern line 5. e5 is more positional and I thought it wouldn’t be to my taste, but after reading this book I look forward to it. I haven’t looked at much of the rest of the book, but the section on this line alone is more than worth the price of the book, and I’m confident the rest of the it is as well-written.

An amazing review of an unknown gambit which has close ties to the Two Knights and Max Lange defences. Further transpositions are possible all of which are covered in the book where the latest lines are examined together with a useful games collection for further reference.

Même si l'auteur connaît pas mal son sujet, il commet certaines imprécisions dans ses analyse. Garderait-il les meilleures variantes pour lui ? (Mon classement Elo fluctue entre 2200 et 2400)

Clairement le livre le plus complet sur cette ouverture avec beaucoup d'idées très intéressantes.Cependant, il contient des imprécisions qui mériteraient d'être approfondies dans certaines lignes.L'ensemble reste malgré tout bien écrit et très agréable à lire.
