Perfect size for a 4 year old
I use a cane and my GGDaughter wanted a cane for herself when she walks with me. I got her this instead as it is great for when we go hiking on some of the local trails. Serves 2 purposes for me, it keeps her happy about having a cane and it helps to keeps her safe on trail hikes.

Good for younger kids
My kids (newly 9 years old) used these to summit Wheeler Peak in Nevada. They held up well. If I recall correctly they said they worked for kids up to 4ft tall, but these seemed pretty short. We had to fully extend them and they seemed to be the absolute minimum length to be usable for the kids. I had considered sending them back and just getting them adult poles, but thought the smaller handles would be better for them. They worked out for us but probably will be outgrown before next summer.

Great quality, sturdy poles - kids love them
We just got them and all of the clamps are easy to use by the kids. It adjusts easily and comes with several attachments and a good quality carry bag. They're super light and stiff (don't bend like other poles I've had). The grips are perfect for my 3 and 5 year olds with some room for growth. Highly recommended.

Very useful
I purchased these for my grandsons ages 2 and 4. They adjust to the difference in their height, they will have a lot of room for growth and they are very sturdy. They make a great gift!

Child's trekking pole
They told us into a back pack, and because I'm a petite woman, this size was good for me. I love them.

Perfect for Ski Poles
I bought these to convert my ski poles to walking sticks. I am going on a 12 day road trip starting August 1st to Yosemite, Sequoia, Joshua Tree, Death Valley and Mohave National Monument (and various other places in the Mohave Desert). I broke my leg June 1st and while I am off crutches, I am still on a cane. i will be using walking sticks during this trip since I will be doing hiking and exploring, broken leg or not. I didn’t want to purchase new sticks and my physical therapist suggested these tips. They fit perfectly and now I have a use for these poles.

The service from Hiker Hunger was great.
The tips fit my Leki poles. Am watching to see how long the treads last. I didn't like that Amazon didn't acknowledge my email documenting my concerns related to the shipping from Amazon.

I trust this brand. These poles are reliable, durable, and beautifully constructed.
In my opinion, Hiker Hunger Outfitters is one of the best brands you could buy. I own the adult sized version of these smaller walking poles for children, and I absolutely love the quality of both. They are so durable, and the clamps that enable adjusting them to your child’s height stay firmly in place when in use.I ordered these with my 6-year-old nephew in mind. These poles measure a maximum of 34” in height when fully extended and are a perfect fit for him.The only thing that I noticed could be improved are the wrist straps. On the adult sized walking poles the straps are padded. The straps on these kids’ poles are a nice width for little wrists and are made of strong material, but they aren’t padded. However, they are adjustable. That attention to detail is something I do appreciate.I also like that the seller provides information on the tag that directs you to where online you can learn how to use the poles properly. They are ergonomic in design, and I can tell that a lot of consideration for the health of the user went into the making of these poles.Included with the poles are a carry bag for storage, and both mud guards and snow guards that attach to the poles depending on the weather and terrain. To be honest, I never use either the mud guards or snow guards. They do affix perfectly to the poles, but neither myself or my nephew walk in deep snow with these, or if the driveway is icy. So, for us these aren’t part of our winter activity gear. We do use these on muddy ground, but don’t feel the need to put the mud guards on them. These are by far the best brand of walking poles I’ve ever owned, and I’m glad I could get a set for my nephew. I give these Hiker Hunger Outfitters walking poles for kids a solid 5 stars.

Great hiking poles for kids (or petite adults)
I ordered two sets of these, one in blue and one in orange. We go hiking a lot so I figured having two sets would be great; one for my son and one for me. My son is 7 yrs old and just over 4ft tall and I am a petite adult female (at 4ft11.)My son and his friends love to collect “walking” sticks though they use them for other purposes for about half the hike so I figured this would be a good way to give them hiking poles and eliminate the gathering of sharp pointed sticks lol.The maximum height is listed as 4ft10 so I exceed that by one inch but I found them really comfortable to use anyways. I have more expensive adult poles but they are heavier and I don’t carry them in the vehicle all the time.My son loves these poles though and was super excited when they came in. The colors are both really nice and eye-catching.They are well made, sturdy and easy to adjust. Once adjusted they felt durable and held up well trail hiking in icy and snowy conditions. The handles are ergonomic and help avoid hand fatigue with the contoured grips. The wrist straps are a must to avoid losing the pole should it drop away from you near a ledge or hill. The poles come with a great little carrying bag and additional tips (small tips, snow baskets, and boot tips along with the tungsten’s) however neither set actually arrived with the boot tips. Instead our sets came with a rounded disk-type replacement. We used the snow baskets for our trail hike and there was various depths of snow and they performed really well. The poles are lightweight and collapse quickly to fit into the carrying bag which I clip onto my pack. The only area that may be a point of failure in the future are the locking mechanisms. They are quite delicate and you have to be careful to do it properly or else you could break them so if there ever is a point of failure I could see it being those.Overall though these are great trekking poles and I highly recommend them for your kids.

Fantastic little hiking poles with lots of great features!
The media could not be loaded. These are amazing little hiking poles for kids! We are huge hikers in our family and our kids of course love finding hiking sticks along the way, but it usually ends up in tears because someone got a better stick, or the stick broke. I also worry about the sharp ends on the sticks in case they stumble or fall when they're hiking. When I saw these hiking poles I hoped our problems were behind us, and they did not disappoint! They are really nice quality hiking poles. The fact that they extend is fantastic because they can quickly be modified for younger or older hikers, and you know they'll get many years out of them because they can use them year after year without worrying about them outgrowing them. They come with all the attachments you'd need. Rubber nubs at the ends for smoother surfaces like pavement or just to protect the end for smaller kids. Snow attachments if you're into winter hiking, which we are, and rounded disks for rough terrain. You can also use it without any of the attachments for normal hiking terrain as well. Note that in the product pictures/descriptions it describes a "boot tip" which we did not receive, and instead we received the rounded disks. Not a deal breaker for us, as I think there's still everything we need. They are easy to lengthen and shorten, and have a clearly marked "stop" mark on the poles to ensure you don't lengthen then too far. As you can see in the video I was able to do this one handed - sorry for the poor video, it's a little tricky to film and do this at once! The wrist straps can also be tightened or lengthened in order to allow for smaller or larger hands. They are very lightweight, so I can carry 3 or 4 sets at once if my kids need their hands free to explore temporarily. My kids are really excited to take these hiking, and love at they have 'official' hiking gear to bring with them. I love that I don't need to worry about them poking out their eyes on a stick, and that it gives them more stability on our hikes. It makes my kids want to get out and hike more too, so bonus!I wish there was a few more tones like purple or aqua, as my girls are really drawn to these colours.Overall these are a fantastic little tool for any hiking family. Great quality, and well designed. Would make a great Christmas or birthday present for outdoorsy kids. At the current price point of $50ish less $15 coupon they are well worth it.
