Don’t really know what you are asking. The boots are phenomenal all the way around. I️ don’t believe any of the materials are composite. Leather uppers and rubber soles. The insulation is abundant. Traction, warmth, build quality and comfort are excellent

Q: Are they waterproof and I mean really waterproof to use for ice fishing?

I took the extra time and sealed the seams before I used them for ice fishing. Standing in up to 4" of slush I have had no leakage. I HAVE had a problem with my feet sweating in these since they are so damn warm. If you do any hiking in them, bring a pair of extra socks to put on. My experience is that sweat leads to damp socks leads to cold feet.

Q: How thick are the boots at the top? Will pants fit over the top of them?

I have the baffin constructor about the same size as these, my wrangler riggs will fit over them, but I normally tuck my pants inside, we get alot of snow here, baffin boots are the warmest boots ever, and they offer replacement boot liners which is amazing
