These Inov-8 235, V-2s are amazing!
I bought these Inov-8 235, V-2s for running, and they have so far exceeded my expectations! I love Inov-8 shoes, and they are becoming harder and harder to find these days, with the shift in trend from minimalist-style running to the clonky-soled running shoes with the upper mesh.I've taken these for a spin 3 times since I received them about a week or so ago, and the first run was like heaven. After running in my super sub-par $35 UA shoes for the past 6 months or so, these shoes are what my feet have been missing. I immediately felt lighter and more agile, and my feet fell back into their true form so much easier in these shoes. I definitely believe that a good pair of shoes makes a difference when it comes to running.**Note on sizing: Definitely adhere to going a HALF size down from your normal shoe size for correct fit, as everyone else has mentioned. I'm a 10 and I ordered a 9.5, and these fit perfectly!I would say, that if you are on the fence on the V-2s. give them a shot. I had a pair of the original 235s in green and yellow, and I absolutely loved those shoes as well, and the V-2s did not disappoint so far! They fit snugly, with plenty of toebox room for your feet, and they just feel right.Overall, I would highly recommend these shoes. If you've never worn Inov-8s, be careful, because these are for people who have broken their feet into minimalist style running already. Not much more to say, amazing shoes!- Shea

Heal drop verses toe height
Solid choice for the price. I'm happy with them as a CrossFit training shoe. I did open 20.5 in the them and having a solid low heal made wallballs easier. They advertised a wide toe box which I like and need for a wide foot. It was almost too wide. The biggest issue I had with the shoe is the upward curvature of the toes with a zero drop heal position. There is some built in padding on the ball of the foot for mid-foot strike impact, but it made me feel that I was walking on my heals with my toes sticking up. It was quite awkward at first and not very comfortable. I did a workout with 100m repeats and it forces you to lean into the mid-foot running form or you will hear and feel your heals smacking the floor. After a few weeks the shoes have broken in more and have flattened some. They are not my ideal shoe, but they're good, solid, and functional at what I need them for. If you have wide feet, they're a good option. Make sure you break them in and get used to them before lots of running and plyometrics.

Review with a few updates
***UPDATE - please read entire review***initial review:I was kind of on the fence with the styling of this shoe when I received it. I started to return it, but after wearing it a little bit at home just to see how it felt, I can understand why people like the shoe. It's my gym shoe, so I'm not overly concerned with looks. I'm going to keep them.-----------updated review:I was really excited about this shoe. It had good reviews online, and I felt confident buying it.Initial impressions were mixed. Comfortable and breathable. I loved the fit and I grew to like the way they looked and was glad they weren't just another pair of Nikes. After wearing them for some months, I am no longer enjoying the shoes.FirstI quickly developed a small tear in the side of the shoes while working out. They're on the same spot on each side of the shoe below the "I" in the INOV8 logo on the outside of the shoe. The shoes still work, but they have an unsightly tear on them that irritates me for spending what I did on shoes that tear so quickly and easily - that are meant to be for physical activity. I still wear them, but now I hesitate to do anything more than walk around in them. This is present on both shoes in the same place.SecondThe shoelaces, and loops they go in, have a lot of play. This means that every few times I put the shoes on after tying them, I have to go loosen the laces all the way down to the end. It's customary to tighten the laces a little bit when you put them on, but it travels down the entire shoe and gets to be very restrictive. *Worth mentioning that I found the tear after a workout when I had already loosened these shoes before, so they were not overly tight.tl:dr - shoes torn during regular (and intended use) exercise after 2 months. shoes are a hassle to adjust putting them on. Would not encourage anyone to purchase them.----Another update:I spoke to Inov-8 on facebook, which turned into speaking via email. Their customer service is incredibly helpful and was able to resolve my issue. This goes a long way for me, as many companies are lacking in customer service. The people at Inov-8 have been fantastic and I'm thankful for their work. I still have the same concerns about the laces, but I'll just try some different shoe laces.

Fit Only
This review is for fit only and only in regard to my feet. I have wide feet (EEE) and they stay wide longer than most. I also have an extremely high instep. This shoe was terribly uncomfortable and I returned them after walking around in them for only a few minutes in my house. This shoes narrowed from the toe box too quickly for my feet. Even with very thin socks they were painfully tight just forward of the midfoot. They also pressed against my outer forefeet but were almost sloppy at my inner forefeet. One trick I have employed over the years is to take out the insole. Did not work on this shoe. On my foot one of the more uncomfortable shoes I have ever tried. I have a very hard time finding shoes that fit so this review is meant only for those with similar feet. It is hard to find shoes and even harder over the internet for feet like mine so for those of you with feet like mine - move along, nothing to see here. The construction looked good to me. For what its worth, I would think these shoes would be durable. The grip of the soles was spectacular.I am not sure if this is a criticism of Amazon or Inov but I tried to order different Inov shoes 3 times. Every time I had long delays in which I was told shoes were in stock but I could not be told when they would ship. I ended up cancelling my order 2 times before these shoes finally shipped.

... pair of these Inov8 F-lite 235 which came highly recommended in one of the fitness magazines recently Wow
My Crossfit and gym work has kicked up a gear this autumn and I thought I would treat myself to a pair of these Inov8 F-lite 235 which came highly recommended in one of the fitness magazines recentlyWow, these are quite something. My Crossfit and gym work has kicked up a gear this autumn and I thought I would treat myself to a pair of these Inov8 F-lite 235 which came highly recommended in one of the fitness magazines recently. The colour choices looked good - I went for the black and grey. When the Green and black box came, on unboxing you can tell these are something quite special. The sole, especially around the heal feels solid and well planted but with a decent amount of give when striding. The rest of the shoe feels solid in the right places, with flex, where needed (especially at the bottom of the tongue when lifting). I wore these out to an intensive gym session this morning and they were an absolute pleasure to work out in. When lifting I felt I could put my weight into the shoe where I needed to and get the support I needed - during squats and burpees my foot felt planted and secure - I love these. Added to that the Inov8 12 month guarantee these are my new favourites!

Nice looking design with larger fit
I've been wearing the same model shoes for a few years now. I use these for daily running, long distance running and workouts. I've been buying the same size so its easy for me to buy inov-8 shoes online. I think this new V2 version have increased in size. My toes have more space in the front. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not. It's a bit concerning, but I have no facts to prove that its worse then my older shoe. The increased size doesn't make running more difficult or uncomfortable. Shoes still grip tight at the ankle and side of foot so my foot doesn't slide. After running for a week with them, if anything it feels like they are better on my toes. 5 stars from me

Move over vivobarefoot
I have worn vivobarefoots for 7+ years - and just fedup with their lack of concern for migration issues to barefoot - decided to take a step back. these are zero drop but just a bit more cushion for older foot! Cant recommend them highly enough - using them day to day and for x training and tennis.

5 but chose to go a size up as they recommended on their site
Im normally a UK 10.5 but chose to go a size up as they recommended on their site. Feels like i have plenty of toe space and they are bigger than i would have chosen in a shop but will come back and update the review after some use. Feel good so far and happy with the purchase.
