I don’t write reviews often, but this deserved one. It was weighted and durable metal. Contrary to some, I LOVED the straps and buckle fittings it allows you so much room of customization. The metal was a dark hue which I loved (not perfectly pretty and polished, light and flummery) no—this LOOKS like a historical piece and it feels like one too. I was so pleased with my purchase and I got TONS of compliments at the Renaissance faires.

The overall quality was great but the rivits underneath are really rough. I covered them with hot glue so they wouldnt snag my clothes underneath and it's been great.

Seemed very well made, but had to return because it was much too big for me (US women’s M)

The quality was fine - it comes very oily, but that's normal. The issue I had is this piece is literally spray painted black. It is not a 'dark iron' color like it appears in the pictures. I returned the piece but wanted to warn future buyers.

Straps were all cocked up, rear ones were straps instead of buckles and went inward on the bottom... incomprehensible what they would be for and not matching the picture at all. Metal was fine. I wound up cutting off the rear straps and reattaching with some rivets and leather straps.

I wouldn’t use it for combat, but it’s well crafted and has some decent heft to it. It’s also bigger than it looks. 4 stars for the looks and the quality, and an extra star for the price.
