Great camera if you want to mount it to your helmet. I use it almost ever utile I go airsofting. It has great quality and the mic is okay for what I do. Would recommend getting this.

RunCam Helmet Camera,1080Ppros:pretty easy to use.takes standard 18650 batteries.comes with a battery.records well in low light conditions but looks a little grainy.normal lighting video is quite clear.can be mounted to almost anything.cons:microphone is terrible sounds like it is recording from inside a can stuffed with cotton, and with a lot of hiss.only has an on and off switch that controls recording. on is record, off is stop record.switch is a bit hard to use.app is a bit cumbersome to connect to the device so you can preview the picture or configure it.no image stabilization, but for what I used it for, it was not a problem.white balance could be better.1080p video recorded at 60fps has a bitrate of between 18000 and 22000kbps, audio was recorded at 16,000khz and 80kbps. I am not sure if that is the default setting, it is certainly not what I would want. total files size for 12 files of different start and stop times (61 minutes) was 8.51 gigs.

Although it is only 1080p at 60fps... this is a really good quality video for helmet cam! And you can't beat the price!!! Now I'm thinking they are "piloting" this product that is why its so affordable and only at 1080p... but once the public response are great..im sure they will come out with the final version of this product that shoots at 4k and will be pricier. Now onto the tip just in case you come across why it is not recording...In the manual it says us a U3 microsd card... but what they forget to mention is that it won't record if the format of the microsd card is on NTFS or ExFat. YOU MUST FORMAT IT AS "FAT32"!!!So if you complain why its not recording and think its a broken one... it is not... you will just have to format the microsd to Fat32. I'm a videographer/photographer and work in IT so I know what I'm talking about lol Hopefully one day Runcam will include that in their instruction or make the alpha version of this helmet cam to be more widely accepted on both exFAT and NTFS formatting.Overall... this product has been the BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK as opposed to GoPro!

I like that it has a gooseneck but could be a little more flexible. Video quality is decent. Super easy to make changes using the app & expiring the footage is very simple.

I wear this fro USPSA. Velcro to my ear pro is great and I can verify the status light for recording while "making ready". I guess video of me using it violates some policy...Field of view is excellent. Light balance sucks a little of you are in dark and looking at something bright. I'm glad I got it. Will continue to use it for my matches.

Arrived broken - would only record once out of every 40 times I turned it on. Support kept blaming the microsd cards despite my repeatedly telling them I had tried 8 different cards all with the same results. Eventually ended up buying exactly the card they said I needed, only to have exact same results.Now support wants me to video record the outside of the camera before they will authorize a return for repair.not worth your time. I am giving up on this hardware and their support process.

This camera is pretty awesome for the price point. Audio is pretty bad with white noise but I found that putting a piece of tape over the mic helps a little. The photo above is straight off the camera, no editing or touch ups. This thing works great in low light as well, and has a very good battery life. Switch makes recording very easy.
