TekMat Cleaning Mat for use with Ruger SR9 & SR40 , Black, 11 x 17-Inch

I got this mat the same day I went to the range so I was able to try it out last night. It is easy to read, much more info than you will most likely need for cleaning your gun. I was going to wait until a few uses to review this mat, because I wanted to see if the writing/print would come off after time. I don't think it will, and here's why: I am left-handed, and as I am breaking down my SR9 for cleaning I keep noticing a long gray/whie hair, thinking it was mine. Once I finished disassembly, I used my hand and tried to brush it off. It was stuck on the foam. But as I'm cleaning the parts, the hair just kept bothering me. Now I did have my glasses on (I'm a 51 ye old female), and I am trying to pick it up with my fingers and not scratch/scrape the mat. Still it won't budge. I look closer, and... It's not a hair! It's part of the design on the mat showing where the one part goes into another! (Edith Bunker, eat your heart out, lol) The mat is a good size, but when you are cleaning the gun, your eyes are very focused, so the foreground is not as clear giving the illusion that it was a hair. My hubby and I had a great laugh, and I don't think the print will come off anytime soon. finger tip/nail tested. I would definitely buy this again!

I have a Ruger SR9, and this mat was relatively inexpensive, so I decided to try it out. I had been using paper bags as mats when I cleaned my guns, but that limits me to cleaning while at home. I figured using a gun cleaning mat would make it easier to take care of my guns on the go.The diagram showing all the parts of the gun is nice, as is the history of the gun. However, the text of the history seems to cut off suddenly in mid-sentence. I'm not sure what happened there.The mat is a decent size for cleaning or working on your guns. Overall, I think it's a nice mat. The bottom is grippy, and the top provides a good work surface. The exploded view of the SR pistol is a very nice bonus.

Wished the cleaning mat was thicker by about an 1/8". But other than that it's good. Ruger SR diagram is clear and legible. All parts are listed. The mat protects my firearm and my work surface.

Very good quality, awesome that they had one for the Ruger SR series pistols. Usually the aftermarket for Ruger stuff is way less than Glock so it can be rare to find a quality item like this for Ruger branded stuff. The non slip grip on the back is very high quality, I tried sliding it with nothing on it, and it started moving my glass end-table rather than the cleaning mat! No fraying or anything like that, which is very nice. If you need a cleaning mat, or want a cool looking one to upgrade from paper towel or your existing mat, this is it. I might get the bigger one for my AR I like this one so much.

I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, but it is a nice quality mat. It is made of a thick material similar to a mouse pad. This would protect your pistol parts and keep the cleaning area from being soiled. This one is for the Ruger SR series. I didnt verify the picture w parts for accuracy, but believe it is correct. I mainly got this for a cleaning surface. HIGHLY recommend!

I like the fact that the printing on the mat is a blueprint of the breakdown. It's easy to read. Will definitely come in handy.

this gun mat is awesome. i was at the gun shop and seen one for another gun so i just had to check it out and they had it to match my pistol. it is great because the parts are broken down on the mat. so if you forgot where the apart goes just look down at the mat.
