Q: What is the best size for a full bed? i assume the twin size would be too small, but would the queen size hang too far off the sides and bottom?

You should stay with the full size, these spreads are generous, I have ordered a king size & the drape on the sides are fine, I think twin would not be enough for your double bed.

Yes, it’s not bulky at all, so yes, it’s light!

Q: Is this Oeko Tex certified?

I am reading the label, 100% cotton shell and filling. Wash cold water, tumble dry. I have washed this quilt and shams a few times and it still looks beautiful. The tags have a reg bumber and a certification label. Quality product, made in China but very well made and 100% cotton.

Q: should I order a king for a queen size bed to make sure it's not too short?

I have a queen bed and I ordered a queen. It fits perfectly! I just washed and dried it last week. I was worried about how it would hold up. It came out like new. You couldn't even tell it had be laundered. Plus, I didn't seem to have any shrinkage at all. My bed is on a wooden pedestal. This goes several inches below the mattress line. If you have a box spring you will probably need a bed skirt. This is an absolutely beautiful, well made quilt.
