Like many AmazonBasics product this is really good quality and is nice and quiet too!

I like the fact that is has glass and how you can see the water boiling, lit up by the blue lights at the bottom. Boils nicely and does what it should do. Let's hope it lasts longer than our last kettle from Aldi (3 months).

Amazon basics hits the mark, again. I've tried out a few of the basic range and have been pleasantly surprised each time.This glass kettle looks smart, has a blue light while it's boiling, isn't too heavy and generally works really well. One small criticism would be that the water isn't hot enough (for me, my wife thinks it's perfectly fine!) compared to my last kettle.Other glass kettle cost twice as much or more and are far heavier. Plus this has a nice wide neck to allow for easy cleaning. And at the same price as a bog-standard one from Sainsbury's or Tesco etc, why wouldn't you get this?! Plus I purchased a 2 year Amazon warranty with it so it should last for a while too. Highly recommended.

I've been going through 1 kettle a year for the past decade because of high failure rates or annoying design flaws. This time I thought I'd give Amazon's own brand a go despite it's worryingly cheap price. My first impression is that it looks very smart and doesn't look or feel as cheap as the price tag implies. The lid opens instantly (careful of it flinging drops of boiling water at you if you've just boiled it and open the lid to refill) , it's stable when its placed in its base, and importantly there's no funny smell or taste.It's not particularly fast at boiling but when you pour it's quick without any stray splashes.A week in the kettle is doing well so I have no hesitation in recommending it as it's better than every kettle I've had that's up to double this price. Well done Amazon, this attractive and practical kettle ticks all the right boxes at an incredible price. If my opinion changes during its lifetime I'll be back to update my review.

Excellent product very impressive with the lights making look a lot more expensive than it was works well very good design

This kettle was very quiet when I first bought it, and I was delighted. However, after a week or so it got quite noisy. Gets a litter quieter when descaled, then noisy again shortly afterwards. Up to 75 decibels on the minimum amount of water-- too loud to have a conversation in the kitchen. And because it is lower power than many other kettles, it takes longer to boil, so that means longer with the noise. Shame, as it looks cool and is easy to use, nice wide lid to get your hand in for cleaning. I am returning.

Does it's job and boils water at around 2100 watts and has worked perfectly in the one month of use.PROS- Nice blue light so you can see the water boiling.Good water level markings on both sides.CONS- Heavier than most metal kettles as it is glass so not so good for the elderly.You can always see condensation on the inside of the glass mainly at the top.
