Mi esposa adora el Orlando Furioso, por lo que este fue un buen regalo. La calidad de las impresiones es excelente. El material se ve duradero y resistente.

I feel a bit disapointed with this book because in my oppinion there are a lot of plates with poor quality, I mean not the technical quality of reproduction but the picutre in itsef.I,m a lover fan of Gustave dore works and i have a lot of his books published by Dover. but this one is not so brilliant as the crusades or Dante divina comedia.Anyway the books has a lot of plates and there are enough really fantastic, but mixed with other quite poor.Maybe just for fanatic fans of Dore (like me).

I actually love this book, I hate that it didn't download and I had to purchase it a second time because none of the trouble shooting methods worked. Amazon should make it easier to contact someone when your book doesn't download properly. But this is the first time its happen to me so I'm not too mad about it.

The album is a combination of two great artists: the writer (Ariosto) and the illustrator (Doré). It worths every dollar we pay!

This book contains a treasure of very atmospheric and detailed scenes. Doré's masterly use of superwide pespectives is an open invitation to explore his detailed and scetched people, landscapes, castles, heroes, battlefields and romantic situations. The illustration settings cover an area as huge as old europe with an ocassional touch of Asia. A particular delight are the morphed human-animal creatures. This book is great for just diving in and imagining yourself in these bizarre environments. enjoy !

This is the rarest of the Dore titles and the only edition of these illustrations. Some appear in Dore's Angels, but this is the full collection of illustrations.

Muy aconsejable para quien le guste el romanticismo turbio de Doré. Resulta entre ingenuo y deslumbrante el modo en que el grabador trastorna las octavas de Ariosto en algo que tiene muy poco que ver, y a la vez, resulta fascinante.El mundo imaginario de la primera infancia que marcó a la generación de los que hemos pasado ya de los sesenta se parece más a las imágenes de Doré que a los dibujos de Walt Disney

Ho comprato questa antologia, insieme ad altre due della stessa collana, per un regalo ad una vera appassionata. Ho avuto modo di sfogliare il libro e ammirare le immagini e ne sono rimasto impressionato! La qualità della stampa è ottima e il formato permette di godere di tutti i dettagli. Lo consiglio a gli amanti del genere e a chi colleziona libri d'arte.
