Purchased as part of the whole NYM’s bond repair line. I have fine and thin hair, so many of the other bonding lines are too heavy for my hair type. This product is AWESOME! I use the entire system 1x/wk and for the 2 days following a trip to the salon. Too frequent use will cause protein overload, leading to dryness and more breakage, so more is not better with this.

Good shampoo for both my daughter’s long wavy hair and my straight medium hair. We both have thick hair and this shampoo and conditioner work well.

Worked ok for my hair. I love not your mothers products. But this just was not for me. Kind of made my hair feel greasy

I have not yet met a ‘Not Your Mothers’ product that I have not been happy with!!! Shampoos, conditioners, and styling products! One of my favorite brands!!!

Opened it up to leaked bottles / half empty now? not happy

I’ve tried it all — yet, my hair was still dry, brittle, tangled, and coming out in chunks with every brush. Bought the whole Tough Love system as a last resort, and my hair has been so easy to manage. It leaves the hair clean longer and free of tangles. So in love with this shampoo - Not Your Mother’s has a new customer for life!

I love Not Your Mother’s and have used their products on and off since I was in high school. I have seen bonding haircare products everywhere lately and was excited to try their take on it. I love that they’re sold in a pair so I can try both the shampoo and conditioner. When the bottles arrived I noticed that the lids had popped open on both. There was a bit of a soapy mess to clean up, but most of the shampoo was still in the bottle. I thought it wasn’t too big of a deal and cleaned it up. Then when I went to try the shampoo I had the lid fall apart on me. The part of the lid that flips up but shouldn’t come off fell off in my hand. Way too much shampoo spilled out with it, so it was a bit of a waste. I know this is a common bottle shape these days, but the lid could be improved to open and fall apart less easily. The shampoo itself lathered well and cleaned well. I like how my hair looked and felt when using it. The conditioner is a little trickier. After the first use my hair felt a bit gross, like it had been coated in something. I gave it a second chance and rinsed it very thoroughly. It took awhile to rinse out, but my hair felt great when it dried this time. It was very soft and silky. I like it. The set has a slight perfume scent, which isn’t bad but not my favorite. Overall, I like the set for its good results. I’d get it again.
