Q: Does heating the turmeric powder(while making turmeric paste) deactivate some of its medicinal properties ?

Hi Mitch... heat does affect the nutritional profile. A fat-soluble molecule, curcumin constitutes roughly 1 to 6 percent of turmericâs dry weight. Curcumin is extremely sensitive to light, moisture, and heat. Roughly 85 percent is destroyed when turmeric is boiled for 15 to 30 minutes. Furthermore, it degrades rapidly (within 30 minutes or so) at a neutral pH. The rate of destruction increases sharply as the pH increases (becomes more alkaline). In laboratory situations, some proteins stabilize curcumin. Whether the same happens in the kitchen with proteins such as the albumin in milk has yet to be determined. Hope this helps ð~

Q: Has this product been proved led free?

According to an article I have just read, some manufacturers do indeed adulterate by adding a substance called lead chromate to the Turmeric powder in order to enhance the yellow coloring of the product, also, the adding of lead chromate increases the weight of turmeric powder, meaning that manufacturers can sell less of the product at an inflated price. In light of this revelation, I will opt to forego the purchase of the powder, and instead, I will purchase the fresh turmeric root at my local Whole Foods.

Q: What is the percentage of curcumin in this turmeric?

On 4-3-18 Brad Harbach, the founder of FGO replied to my email this: "We have not completed testing of our most recent batch. Historically it has been ~2.5% curcumin".

Q: does it help with poor blood circulation?

I don't know abt circulation. I just know that with consistent regular doses it has made a difference in how I feel
