Great for a beginner but setting up can be tricky
This product is great for a beginning fisherman. It has everything you need. The pole is very long when put together so make sure you look at the product dimensions. There was a video to use to help get things set up (line, reel, etc) but I did have to ask for help from a more experienced fisherman to help me. My son loves this pole and I like the price.

Incredibly easy to use
I love this product! This is the first fishing experience in my life and I had a great time due to how easy and straightforward the fishing rod and kit is, was able to snag a couple of fish. Great performance equipment for beginners, found a new hobby.

Didn’t last two days...
Took a chance on the fact that it did not have any reviews, and although it looks great and the telescoping feature is nice, the handle is a flimsy plastic and it broke on our second day fishing (the first day was a quick test run). Now I am out $27 dollars...

So-so (not sew-sew)
Functional parts ok, but the zippered case was not fully stitched. This left an open gap. I needed to take it and use it on vacation right away so did not have time to return for a replacement.

Looks are a little deceiving!
Looks cheaper in person than the pictures online but it will do a 8 yr old boy some fun for his bday so thanks!
