Great for Macbooks
Works perfectly and there aren't too many wires to deal with for what it is. I needed this to hook my drawing tablet up to my Macbook and the adapter is perfect for that. Takes no time at all to set up.

Works perfectly for my Linux and Windows computers
These inexpensive hub / dock adapters work perfectly to connect my Linux computers to monitors at 4K 144Hz (and to other peripherals). The DisplayPort-based video output is rock solid and doesn't suffer from the small colored text blurriness issue that many (but not all) HDMI-based hubs have. This hub has a huge number of USB ports too as well as many other potentially useful ports such as SD, MicroSD, VGA, audio and network. I do wish that the network port supported 2.5Gbps instead of just 1Gbps but there might be bandwidth limitations that prevent that speed in conjunction with all the other ports. The power delivery pass-through works great to power my computer and all the peripherals so I only need to plug in the single cable to connect my computers to everything and keep them charged up at the same time.I've used many similar hubs and docks in the past and somehow this one manages to not get hot... just barely warm to the touch even when running at 4K 144Hz with a bunch of peripherals and charging the laptop at the same time. All the others I've used get MUCH hotter.Add in the relatively low price and I very strongly recommend this hub. I've bought 2 of them and I like it so much I might buy a 3rd as a spare.

I can't believe how well this thing works
I had been using an Anker 364, but any time I needed to disconnect and then later reconnect the laptop to the dock, it would go nuts trying to move from single display to triple display. It would only work when completely powering off both laptop and the displays. I got this HODO as a replacement, in hopes it would work better, and boy does it. This thing is great! Very fast and seamless to dock/undock and dock once again. This is worth it at twice the price.Using with a Lenovo X1 Carbon 7th Gen, 2x external 1080p 60hz monitors over HDMI, 1Gbps ethernet, and 3x USB supporting external Mic, mouse, keyboard. No problems at all after using it for a week. WIll return to update review if it dies early, but so far so good.Written by a real person who feels compelled to share how surprisingly well this little piece of gear works.UPDATE: Now been using for a little over 3 months. Still works perfectly, zero problems, probably my best purchase of 2024.

Really want to like it, but problems with some ports
I have a laptop that only has USB-C ports, and I need USB 3.0 ports for other devices. Initially, I was very impressed with this hub. It does require a driver download, it doesn't need extra power, and it has so many ports - including the rare audio aux output. It worked fantastically with 2 external monitors (in expand mode!), 1 web cam, 1 mouse, 1 laptop, and audio aux. After a few days of use, my mouse stopped working. I switched ports, and it was fine. I tested that port with other devices, and no luck. Then it happened again with a different port. I'm not sure if it's a power issue (adding a USB power cord did not improve it), or just a hub overload. But currently, there are 2 ports that do not work.I got a replacement, and faced the exact same issue. I contacted support over 10 days and never heard back. So, it still works about for about 70% of the use case. Which, honestly, is still better than most other ports. If all of the ports worked reliably, this would be a crazy-good 5-star product. As-is, it is a little frustrating.

Perfect portable tech accessory
After much trial and error on buying different docks, hubs, and adapters to assist me both at home and in my tech bag, my search has come to an end. With the $20/off coupon they had for about a week I couldnt pass up buying a couple to test and they have been perfect. In my daily tech life I am constantly working on various servers, workstations, and tablets and this has connections for everything I need when testing and swapping equipment. Its small and slim enough to travel, doesnt need external power, and gives me universal capability of pretty much all standard accessory ports. Aluminum shell makes me not need to worry about it getting beat up in my travels. No specific drivers needed for Windows 11. Will definitely get more of them when the next sale comes up.I dont have much need for the capability of spanning monitors which is about the only gotcha I found, specifically when using Mac but they make it pretty clear in the ad. And this is not uncommon. Mac users need to look into things like CALDIGIT for docks that allow spanning on Mac.
