Pond Work-you need these!
I take an 8.5D and ordered a size 8, they were plenty long but a tiny bit pinchy on the big toe outsides. Still acceptable. I think 9's would have been too big and still pinched, so....They have a below-the-knee lace and snap... front has snap, back has some lacing, to make the collar fit your leg below the knee. This adds greatly to the comfort and mobility, keeping the wader near the leg AND allowing you to flex without them slipping all over (no wallowing about inside the wader). If you have contact-metal-allergies, wear socks long enough to go over your knees. The upper cuffs also have some extra snaps, you can fold the upper wader down in 'pouches' and snap them into place at the collar so you can sit for long periods with more comfort (say in boat or pickup on the way between places). There are two side loops with snaps. Long ones. You do need to wear a belt and hook these over your belt to keep things in place! There isn't a lot of weight transferred they're more like light suspenders to keep the tops of the waders up and the waders in place. However, the soles and texture of the soles, is very good grip. I keep koi, goldfish, and do water gardening, and for bog and the shallower ponds... also when I have water lowered for maintenance... I can easily traverse the slickslime in the bottom of my ponds (edpm rubber liner, no rocks on bottom) without body wrenching acrobatics of lack of balance! I hm'ed about safety toes until I dropped a concrete block on one foot. I'm sold! (yes I have broken bones in the top of my feet from that in the past! They will not protect that area but it kept me from some very nasty words about a toe or toes getting maimed and a few weeks of limping)I've had waders that cost 4-6x this price and not had ones that were as comfortable and wearable. Durability is yet to be seen, but those more expensive waders all had 'leak' issues from the getgo, and after a few weeks of daily wading these have been champs.Do pull them back to all the way extended to let them dry off. If you leave that cuff folded over, that muck will be just as slimy soggy the next day! They have washed off very easily. There is some lining in the lower wader from the knee collar down, they may get a little less comfortable when that gets worn. I wear one pair of nice thick socks with them... if I was wading near freezing water, I'd want wool or a couple layers, I would be able to get a couple pairs of thin wool on with these at the size they are (being a wide foot being most of the issue.) Getting sweatpants inside these, at the bottom cuff area there isn't really enough room at your ankle. Might suggest the couple pairs of socks and high-pulling some thermal underwear if you need the insulation. Knee deep in pond water at 90 in the sun, these are plenty comfortable and you stay fairly comfortable. For the $ I have been very very happy with these waders. Wish I'd known about this brand sooner. They are not a heavily made wader, I wouldn't call them cheap, but they are shall we say, no extra spared. Definitely worth their price. If I have to buy another pair next spring after this year's wetwork, I won't be upset, but they should last a few years with a little care. I will update as I work on wearing them out.

For the price, very good waders
These fit well and look sturdy. Haven’t tried them yet but they’re Caddis so quality is better thanAverage to start with

Heavy and a bit oversized
These waders are heavy. It’s a rubberized coated fabric with a very thin interior lining from the knees down. General construction appears to be adequate- I haven’t put them to a real test yet. Knee pads are nice, but the interior calf harness I found useless after one of the snaps pulled away from the fabric. The thigh straps look fragile and I doubt they will last long. I wear a size 10 1/2 shoe so I ordered a size 11 boot. These waders are a half size too large for me. Inseam length is okay.Would I buy these waders again? If they last for a few seasons, yes but probably get a size 10.

Solid and rugged for a great price!
These are a great buy. They are well constructed and haven't had any problem with leaks. Been out steelhead fishing and had to make some pretty perilous hikes down to the river through brambles and brush and then wading on rocks and gravel and brushing up against tree branches and other obstacles and they have held up quite well. The fit seems to be right on, I wear a size 9 so I ordered a 10 so I could wear some nice thick wool socks over my regular sweat socks and they fit great (if anything they might be a little to roomy).

Does anyone out there know how to make a really good pair of hip boots?
I just received my boots they look great. However the knee harness is too small and the laces are too short and could be a lot heavier duty. They put snaps on the sides of the knee harness as there should be but forgot all about putting snaps on the inside of the upper part of the boot so when they're folded you can snap them to the one harness. You would think that a company making fishing boots would actually know what they're doing but apparently not. It would also be nice if they offered these with felt soles since anyone who stream fishes and knows what they're doing wouldn't buy a pair without felt, so I also had to buy those separately and install them myself. Insulated would also be nice for those of us fishing in cold water and late in the season. Maybe I just need to go into the fishing bot business myself.

Blast From The Past
Just like from the 80's. Thick rubber, not that thin stuff. Picture is off. Color of top section is same as bottom. No weird knee patches either. Inside it does have the laced calf strap with snaps to turn down to you knee. Lugs on sole are heavy and can accept a stud kit.

The item pictured is not what I got
I wanted the item that was pictured (left boot) and got the one pictured on the right. As it is irrigation season my husband didn't want to mess with trying to return them. When he put them on there was a defect in the inside strap to where it couldn't snap together. His previous pair was the boot on the left and that was a great boot which is why he wanted the same pair. This pair is not as durable.

Great fit and quality - matched shoe sizing
Using these now for fishing -- launching my boat. Easy to take on and off, good quality exterior. Will be using them this fall for bird hunting as well.

Well made and good fit
The shoe size fit. The fabric that caps the top is thin and it tears easy
