A better alternative over the brand-name version
This product feels like an upgrade over the Stokke version of the tripp trapp tray. The Stokke version has a texture to the tray that makes it harder to clean, easier to stain, and unable to use suction toys. This tray works seamlessly with the high chair and allows us to use suction toys and bowls on it.

A great alternative to the extensive version
This tray is perfect! It’s the same shape as the original Tripp trapp tray and fits on perfectly the only difference which is a HUGE factor in purchasing is that this had a smooth, in textured surface so suction plates and bowls stick to it unlike the stokke brand tray. We love it!

Auction doesn’t work
Auction toys don’t stick to this tray and it keep falling as baby pulls from the front. I just wish it would fit better and make the chair more sturdy. I guess it’s what you get for not going with the original tray.

Latch mechanism did not work
I purchased this hoping to not have to pay the price of the brand name Tripp Trapp tray. I ended up returning this and purchasing Stokke’s tray instead, because after a few times attaching and detaching this tray from the high chair the latching mechanism stopped working. We would push it into the infant seat and it would stay latched for a second, and then pop off rendering it unusable. The tray latch is a plastic tab which works by tension and is pretty much identical to the one on the Stokke tray I ended up purchasing instead, however this tray is made of a much cheaper flimsier plastic and did not seem to fit exactly right on the Stokke infant set, which made it harder to put on and increased the pressure on the latch causing it to pop off. We have had no issue with Stokke’s tray, and while it hurts me to pay $70 for a piece of plastic, it’s worth it to me to have a tray that works.

Took a little work to work
We had the same issue with the latch as some other reviews state. I feel like there’s a bad batch. When it first arrived, it wouldn’t stay in place. If you pushed on the tray, the latch would come undone and it would fall off. No matter how hard I tried to push it so the latch would fully connect, it just wouldn’t. I was about to return it when we decide to take a stick and pop the latch out over the lip of the seat and it finally stays put! We’ll probably have to break it off to get it off now, but it’s on there at least!Would I buy it again? Maybe not considering the issue. But it’s nice to be able to suction bowls to it
