LYRA Color Giants Wooden Large Colouring Pencils, 6 Assorted Colours, Metallic Colours, Ideal for Children & Schools

Nice chunky pencils that are great to draw with, for both kids and grown ups. 5 out of the 6 have very soft leads and give bright metallic results on the page. one of the gold pencils is a bit less nice to use.the colours included in the set are limited, and not ones I would have picked. there are 3 gold-ish coloured pencils but no blue or pink.overall lovely quality individual pencils, and reasonably pleased with the set as a whole.

The size of these pencils is very pleasing in the hand and the huge core lays down colour really quickly and smoothly. Although they are intended for kids it is possible to make a sophisticated layered and blended piece of portraiture in conjunction with the skin tone set without using anything else. (See photo- done on Paint'on Natural without blenders, solvents or stumps. )I've found they sharpen well, keep a point, dont snap,erase cleanly, are strongly pigmented and compare favourably in use with my more expensive Lyra artists pencils.Whether you want to buy a little artist some good quality, non-frustrating pencils or to try these out as an adult these are really worth buying.

Have purchased these since daughter was very young. As she attends a Waldorf school these are part of her everyday schooling, but they are suitable for any child or adults with a lovely range of colours, the grip is very good and great for a left handed child x

These pencils are really good quality and quite unusual colours as well as they are all metallic and really do look metallic (unlike some other colouring pencils I've used which say they are "gold" colour but really look more like a dark brownish shade. The colours are rich and vibrant and apply very smoothly and effortlessly on paper, making colouring a joy. They are chubby and will require bigger sharpeners (though I personally hate sharpeners and prefer sharpening any of our pencils by pen knife). They will last a long time because they are so long and will provide many hours of colouring usage.

Great quality pencils in a fantastic case, keeps them all together. My 5 year old son ADORES them& coupled with his Marvel colouring book they keep him occupied and away for the TV! Brilliant buy and well worth the money.

These pencils are so pigmented it's unreal! I love the extra thickness too as I have large hands. I have had no breakages and have ordered the box of 12 skin-tone pencils to go with these.
