My boyfriend bought the purple one for me for my birthday and I love it. I'm a little short (5'3") and it comes down to mid calf. It's just as good quality as the expensive ones. He got the M and it fits true to size. I'm not sure about shrinkage but I wash these type of items in cold delicate so that would probably help. If not, there's always Amazon returns!
