The Little Broomstick

Simply magical storytelling from start to finish. The Little Broomstick is a harrowing tale about a young girl who finds herself in an unexpected situation. Its pages are filled with mystery and wonder. If you’re a fan of the movie Mary and the Witch Flower, the book that inspired the movie is a delightfully inspired piece of literature.

My 10 year old son loves this book. He was already a fan of the story having seen Mary and the Witch’s Flower the anime adaptation and now he loves the book even more.

I hope no one is expecting to read the book hoping to get more than the movie. The book is almost completely different... not so magical. It's a nice book, though. The movie has a lot of magic going on and twists. The book is so much more simpler.

Granddaughter loved it‼ Classic Mary Stewart. Real writing. Ages 10 & up I think.

I loved the book, it was so cute. A little different then the movie version but that's fine with me. Though the only down side is that it's a quick read but still grab your favorite tea, comfy blanket, put on some Studio Ghibli music to then let the book take you away.

I like how the story had the values of hard work, friendship and exploration. My daughter enjoyed it very much.

Sweet little children's story by one of my favourite authors. Nice to be able to get my hands on this hard-to-find book. Harry Potter fans might see some similarities; rest assured, this story was written long before Rowling came along. A nice addition to my Stewart collection.

やはり、紙質は劣化しています。カバーを掛けて袋に入れて持ち歩きましたが、擦れや破れ、背表紙の部分の亀裂は避けられませんでした。映画の原作を読みたかったので、手に入りにくいものを手元に届けてもらったことだけで感謝しています。それなりに楽しめる内容です。

Mary Stewart charms us again with this delightful tale of a lonely child, named Mary Smith, farmed out to elderly and disinterested relatives for the holidays. Young Mary offers to help the gardener in order to entertain herself, and finds what turns out to be (in combination with very ‘familiar’ and very manipulative black cat) a witches broom stick. The story unfolds from there and resolves itself very nicely in this short novel format.

I ordered this book after watching the recently released movie version based off of this book. I thought the movie was magical but the book is even better! I very happy with this purchase. Came quickly and just as pictured.

My mom loved it, it was a great gift for her. Came in excellent condition and shipped out fast.
