Effectively Prevents Foot From Dropping
Furlove brandDrop foot brace (left)The brace comes with instructions. It is not difficult to apply to foot and ankle. It is not particularly comfortable but it isn't painful. Maybe it requires time to become accustomed to it. It is a little bulky and difficult to fit foot into shoe while wearing it.This one is best, I think, for use in bed or with stretchy slippers. If one has the potential trip over one's own dropped, or or dropped and inward turned, foot there may be a (necessary) brace that works better with shoes.Use with shoe is very uncomfortable because with the added bulk of the brace the shoe doesn't fit right anymore. It could be that all drop foot braces will be difficult to use with shoes and use will require purchase of shoes that will accommodate the additional bulk of the brace. This four star rating reflects ease of use, the effectiveness of the brace in stabilizing ankle and holding foot up to prevent foot from dropping.☆☆☆☆

Great ideas ruined by poor design.
I blew an ankle apart 2 decades ago that often gives me issues and I've tried several different wraps for it. I jumped on this when I saw it because it didn't have all the obnoxious bulk around the heel area that makes your shoes no longer fit.Unfortunately when I tried it on it was never comfortable no matter how much I adjusted it. After messing with it for a while I realized it's because the wrap itself is nice and flexible but the stitching on the *edges* isn't. Once you tighten it up to give you the needed support the edges are cutting into the skin more than the center and it feels like you have elastic bands on your ankle making it quite uncomfortable to wear for any extended period. After messing with it a bit I was able to get it more wearable by leaving the upper as loose as possible while pulling the lower straps up tighter so I actually got the needed support, but it was still never as comfortable as my other ankle wraps. It's unfortunate as I REALLY like the padding under the center of your foot that I never realized was there and it gives great support for the front of the foot to be lifted a little for my specific injury, and I really like that it doesn't add a bunch of bulk around the heel making shoes not fit. It just gets ruined by that edge stitching that makes it uncomfortable to wear for more than a couple hours. That stitching around the edges might make it last much longer with wear but what's the point if it makes it uncomfortable in the first place? Ditch the edging or make it more flexible and this would be the perfect ankle support.

For Your Support
This is a well-made ankle brace. The material feels good against the skin, and the padding throughout the brace makes this comfortable and reduces irritation points. The brace provides plenty of ankle support while allowing for some movement. The brace is highly adjustable, so a wearer can apply a broad range of pressure as desired. There is a padded arch support that feels quite comfortable in the arch. The straps connect with a micro hook and loop material that is not seen on most items. The tiny hooks are desirable because they are less likely to snag socks. The connection system allows for many choices about connection placement and angles.Putting on the brace is not intuitive at all. You will need to carefully review the instructions the first time you put on this brace. If you attempt to put on the brace without reviewing the instructions, there is a 75% chance you will do it incorrectly.Pay special attention to the left and right designs. These are not interchangeable. It is a shame we couldn’t have one brace that could work on either ankle, but our ankles are mirror images of each other, and so must be what goes on them. What is a perfect fit for the left cannot be a perfect fit for the right. That is the way it works with shoes, and that is the way it works with carefully designed ankle braces. In conclusion, this is an excellent ankle brace that provides plenty of options for securing an ankle. I recommend it and hope this makes your ankle feel better.

Right is defective
The left one was fine and flush to the velcro on the ankle. The right one is not. It is torn off where it's supposed to be I guess glued or sowed on. It is very difficult to try to take off. Plus it sticks out. I will not be wearing these outside unless I can glue it back on. Looks ridiculous. The last picture is the left foot which is fine.
