Comes tightly rolled-up and therefore doesnt lay flat in the boot of the car. Not sure if it will eventually 'relax', but currently it just springs into a tight roll in the boot.*EDIT 6/11* - just wanted to say that it has now relaxed (took a couple of days) and now lays flat. However, there arent any notches cut in the mat to allow the underside restraining hoops to be accessed, so if you have a dog cage that requires them, you'll need to cut your own holes.
