Q: Will this work on my Uniden Bearcat tracker 885

Yes, if it has a BNC connector. In a mobile application it is minimal gain. Didn't work even as well as stock antenna. Have one mounted on a window at home with , again, limited value. I took one apart. It is just a dipole with foil elements with length cut to about 150 MHz optimal.

As a receive only antenna? Probably. As a transmit and receive antenna? How much do you like the final amplifiers on your radio?

It should, I use mine with a Whistler TRX-1
