Wasserstein Solar Panel (2W 5V) Compatible with Ring Spotlight Cam Battery/Stick Up Cam Battery - Continuous Power for Your Ring Surveillance Camera (1-Pack, White)

We bought this June 2020 and it’s kept our backyard spotlight cam running at 100% without having to charge the batteries. I got a notification yesterday on my Ring app that my battery was low and it needed to be charged. I tried unplugging the solar panel, cleaning it off, resetting the cam.. nothing worked. My “device health” doesn’t say “connected and charging” anymore under “solar status” - just “connected”. So, I’m guessing the panel finally gave out after 3 years. Got another one ordered, hopefully it fixes the issue!

The Wasserstein solar panel is compact, relatively easy to install (depending on where you want to put it) and is not to conspicuous. The long lead wire probably appeals to some folks, but in my case complicated the installation because I had to cable tie all that wire together to hide it behind the panel.Seems to be working, but time will tell how well it holds up and keeps the battery in my ring camera charged.

I’ve had the Ring stick up camera since January of 2022, this thing is still going strong. I keep it plugged into the camera year round and I never have to worry about charging it. I thought maybe there might be some down time on cloudy, overcast or snowy days but that has yet to happen in 16 months. I’m happy that this keeps my camera going. I’ve recommended this many times over to people who want a dependable and less expensive solar panel for their Ring stick up cameras.As you can see, I’ve got other 2 other solar panels for 2 flood lights, I just wish there was a way to plug them all into this solar panel.It has not yellowed yet and seems to have weathered nicely. It’s lightweight and easy to install. It’s worth every penny, investing in this dependable solar panel.

This was super simple to install and charged the camera quickly. My camera was below 10% battery life when I plugged it in and it was at 38% before I got done putting it up. It has maintained a good battery level since installing, even with adjusting my camera settings to record more frequently. I’m happy with the purchase.

Bought this to ide with my ring camera and it's fantastic!! I would recommend this over the more expensive ones. It does the job and looks good.

This solar panel is for my third Ring camera, the other two having panels from Ring. It's only been maybe a month and it seems to work a little bit better than the ring ones. Installation was very simple (same setup as Ring). Overall I'm very happy with it

I have several Ring Spotlight cameras around my property, I have tried the plug in adapters on one, but it never worked. These solar panels work wonderful! Most of the time I can get away with only one battery and it still maintains 100%.

The solar panel stopped charging my ring camera and started draining it instead.

Excelente producto. Funciona muy bien, incluso si no le da tanto el sol. Mantiene la pila en 98%. Espero que pronto vuelva a estar disponible :(

The solar panel is simple to install and works immediately to ensure that you really only need one Ring battery for your camera. In fact the solar panel is plug and play. There are no changes required in the app - it is fine.A word of warning comes however with Ring and the Ring product. In Australia, the Ring camera is about $260 and still needs the solar panel to ensure that you are not up and down ladders all the time to recharge batteries. But the biggest scam is that you must pay $40 a year for cloud back up of your movies - AND - I may be wrong, but as far as I can see, there is no way to download the movies, which means that in the event of an incident, you have nothing you can give the police.Wish, on the other hand sells several solar cameras with inbuilt TF cards, which also save video to your phone. These cameras are generally $100 AUD, but one or 2 without solar are in the region of $40.Why then did I buy a Ring camera? Well I bought two from other sources, but I thought that in buying a "professional" Ring camera, I'd be getting better face definition. But it turns out that this is not the case.So in summary - this solar panel is great - if you already have a Ring camera. But steer clear of Ring unless you want simplified installation and are happy to pay lots of money for something you get for free from others.
