HEMCitronella Incense Sticks, 120-Count (Pack of 4)

I know there is some debate as to whether citronella actually works to repel mosquitoes, and yes I was and still am skeptical. These were purchased as a cheaper alternative to the mosquito coils that they sell (that my wife buys all the time). These came extremely well packaged. They have a very strong fresh scent of citronella right out of the package. I tested these out as I sat and smoked a cigar on the patio in the evening after it had just rained. I used three of them and situated them so that the light breeze blew the smoke towards me. They have a nice scent, there is no doubt it's citronella. I didn't get bit once. You be the judge. A day or two later and under almost the same conditions, I also did not get bit. The jury is still out, but they seem to make a difference.Burn time is about 40-45 minutes. Your going to burn a lot of them if you are outside for any extended period of time but...you get 480 of them, it's a LOT. That should last me this summer and the next I would think.

i love it!! ........... i have place in Costa Rica!! and it being very tropical! and where i stay!...... there are tons of flying critters and mosquitos! i had tried lots of repellants but got tired of venomous fume! i tried citronella candle, not very effective! raid plug-in works great! but the thought of all those poisonous gases got me worried! bug zappers! my gosh!! what a mess! floor littered with burnt bug parts! and now!! i have founded "Hem citronella incense sticks" not only do they smell wonderful! but they seem to work for me!! most of the flying bugs flew away! spiders and larger bugs, they don't bother anybody! and did not seem to be affected much, but the most important bug to get rid of....... were the mosquitos! light one in your room? & they will try to flew out the same way ........they came in!!

HEM has always been my brand of choice when it comes to incense, and at Amazon.com the price is nearly always right.I bought these primarily to combat the droves of mosquitoes that appear every dusk and dawn, for much of the year around here, and they do work.I burn them within a few feet of my open front and back doors (I'm a fiend for fresh air year-round - I keep my doors open as much as the weather permits, and for as long as possible, during the day), and the pleasant scent fills my entire home and does not dissipate quickly the way other scents often do.I find that they aren't 'smoky' either, and that the ~20 minute burn time (once each dawn/dusk) seems to be just right for effective mosquito control.

I bought these for my grandmother who has a great front and backyard but they are really hard to enjoy b/c of all the mosquitos! I came on Amazon looking for citronella candles and came across these - I bought them b/c of the reviews & they work SO well. So benefits:-They actually do work!-They last about an hour - an hour & a half-Cheap! Sooo many sticks-Versatile - you can put them anywhere, its so easy to find places to stick them, even when my gma is gardening or doing yard work, she can just stick one in the ground near her and be mosquito-free!-They smell amazing - even unlit ones smell good and one stick goes a long way!

It works keep bugs away and is eco friendly. I reccommend purchase and will buy again.

I purchased these incense to use in our backyard patio to help with mosquitos. They seem to help keep some of the mosquitos away during the times when you find them buzzing around. We light them all around the area we are sitting. They seem to keep some of the mosquitos away, but nothing really works 100% short of going inside. I appreciate that they are non-toxic and also make your outdoor area smell good.

No Mosquito Zone 🚫 when these are lit. Pleasant Scent.

I order a lot of incense in the past, sometimes by the 5000. These are packaged as they would be sold in stores and they are fresh as can be. You can smell the citronella before opening the package and when you do, the feel and sight indicates they are high quality and well made. Worth every single penny and the seller was extremely prompt in the purchase and delivery. Could not ask for more or a better incense. As far as bug repellant or perimeter security, it is hard to say but citronella is very effective; so are the incense.
