Ranger MDA54733 Dina Wakley Media Scribble Sticks 12/Pkg, 1 Count (Pack of 1)

I am surprisingly impressed with the quality of this art tool. They lay down smooth, dissolve easily, and are vibrant. I tried them on watercolor paper and mixed media paper and they work wonderfully on both. I was easily able to stamp over the colors, and use them directly on my stamps. I used a water brush and picked up pigment directly from the stick and paint on the paper from light color with water to dark colors with less water. These are well worth the money and as soon as the new colors are released I will buy them. The only thing that would improve this set is packaging. I like that they come in a tin, and it is enameled so you can color mix. However, the tin is too big for this set. It would be better to make the tin smaller to fit the set or a bit larger to add the next 12 colors to one tin. But this should not stop anyone from buying these wonderful crayons. Also, just to be clear, they do not work the same as distress crayons, gilatos, or Caran Dache crayons. These are totally different which just gives us yet another awesome medium to create with. I love them.

I had the pleasure of taking a live workshop from Dina and using these with her and they are like pigment in your fingers. They are not waxy and blend completely. I highly recommend these over any similar products. They are comparable to the neo colors but different shades. I also love to cut off the ends and put them into a half pan as a watercolor.

Everything Dina Wakley touches is pure art, but these are quite genius. You can write with them but you can also dip a brush into water and strike the scribble stick, then paint with them. They blend together and run if you add water so they are quite fun to work with.

Only negative thing I can say because haven't used a lot, is that they are difficult to pick up each one...in tight fitting area for shipping. Guess I will have ot dump all out to use one I want and then have to put back, otherwise I keep getting material under my nails. The holder area should have a small divet or something to put your finger in to pick up the crayon.

I love Dina Wakely, but these are really terrible. Get a small set of NeoColorII instead.

Its like crayons with a twist! These sticks are lovely to work with and I hope the company makes more shades and adds more sticks to their packs. I use my scribble sticks for EVERYTHING. So far they are my favorite medium as I can use them alone like a crayon or with water and a brush for endless uses.I would recommend this product to family and friends.

These are definitely crayons and not as water soluble as I was expecting. I believe the competing ‘Distress’ brand is much softer and can resemble paint better than these. I’m going to keep experimenting but so far I can’t say these are worth the inflated price.

Great product still learning with the quality and func

I have seen rave reviews on u tube about these scribble sticks so. Also seen crafters in Australia using them. I decided to buy a set. They arrived today. First impressions are they are difficult to get out of the tin. I tried them first on cardstock and they just left nasty crayon marks after I had tried to blend them. I tried them on watercolour paper and the same thing happened. I thought maybe I was pressing to hard but lighter marks were too faded to show. They are NOT creamy. Mine are rock hard and act more like ordinary pencil crayons. Maybe my house is too cold for them. I am disappointed cos I think they will be yet another mixed media item sitting on the shelf unused.

I am so in love with these Scribble Sticks! Even the colours that I didn't think I would like are awesome - Night! I love Night, please make a whole set of just Night coloured sticks please! The other colours are pretty great too and the white works amazingly well on top of other colours. And the colours are amazing when you add a little water to them too, just great!
