The housing itself seems solid enough and within it there are various ports for memory cards and memory sticks.It can fit just about every card there is on the market from SD cards to SDHC to SDXC to the micro versions of the same, plus a USB memory stick, meaning you can easily transfer files from a memory card to a memory stick, via the use of a computer or a phone due to the USB-C attachment. After all, a phone these days is just a small handheld computer!I tested it with my Samsung S20 but I do not have Apple products so perhaps someone else will pick that up in their review. It all worked fine for me with my Samsung. I find items of this very useful when on holiday and I wish to quickly back up important footage I have taken on memory cards, or on my phone, to a USB stick.Priced at £13.88 at the time of this review, I would have to say this is very good value for money and it should last a long time.

Very functional bit of kit offering comparability with a number of devices; which I’ve tested on my iphone 12Pro, MacBook Pro, iMac and windows based laptop and experienced no issue in transferring data both from and to primarily SD and micro SD cards.It’s compact….possibly a little too much so as I habitually sofa surf whilst on laptops and the cables are short which leaves it dangling in mid air. I don’t imagine it’s an issue as it weighs next to nothing and this didn’t impede its functionality at all. It looks well constructed and robust in the way in which the cables connect to the housing.No issues with performance and it’s been especially useful in transferring media from my iPhone to clear storage space. I’m a comparative technophobe and found the process straightforward enough. I found the Apple certification an added reassurance.I’m aware that others feel that the unit is lacking USB 3.0 and that transfer speeds could be better for the price. I was happy with the transfer speeds but have little to compare it to and have found it perfectly acceptable for general domestic/hobby use.As a multi functional tool that has worked seamlessly so far it has much to commend it. However as USB 2.0 I’m aware that there are cheaper alternatives (though very possibly without apple certification) and for this reason I give 4 stars as I feel it falls just shy of warranting 5.

This product is going to be so useful to me on my travels. I've plugged it into a PC and transferred data to and from SD card, micro SD/TF and USB sticks. The good news is that all this functionality works too when plugged into my Android phone so I can Transfer data from my cameras to my phone and to external storage..but I can also play movies on a usb stick on my phone. I guess you'll need an otg adapter if your phone has a micro usb socket. One thing it would not do is work with a device which requires power like a portable hard drive. This wouldn't work with PC or phone.All in all a compact and flexible solution for several devices and storage mediums...
