Q: 2 different reviews mentioned thie black rice as being dyed not the real thing. I just ordered Dragonfly's red rice. Do you think it is dyed also?

Because anthocyanin is an antioxidant and acid base indicator, a test commonly used is to take a tablespoon of the black rice and add about 1/8 cup of white vinegar. In a few minutes the vinegar will have a reddish tint. If so, the black rice has not been dyed.

Q: Would this be good for rice pudding recipes?

Yes it would. The rice is a dark purple/black colored . Very sweet in taste.
