Doing hard brake line replacements is never an easy job. It gets further frustrating and difficult when the fittings get cross threaded or are manufactured with burs on the threads.This set is a FULL Metric Set, which covers most European Automotive Brake Fittings. Proved to be a time, money & frustration saver while replacing the hard brake lines on our, very old, Porsche Boxster. This thread chaser kit is great! It covers most SAE and metric sizes that normally used in the automotive world. I use them to clean out EVERY bolt hole on a motor before assembly to ensure that I can get a proper torque on everything. They will also clean up cross threaded thread so you won't further damage the part or your hardware. This is a great tool set to have in your home shop.

This tap and die set works really well, especially for the cost. Both types of tools seem to cut threads really well, in my experience. I've tried in 10-ga sheet metal and 1/4" steel channel, as well as threading 1/4" rods. All have worked just as well as I could expect!

I am quite happy with this tap and die set. The set includes a thread pitch guide, which is very useful and takes out the guessing! All the pieces are well-organized in a somewhat sturdy case, making it easy to find what you need. The tools themselves seem fairly durable and of decent quality. I have used them on a few projects, and they have performed just fine.The thread pitch guide helps me quickly identify the correct size, saving time and reducing mistakes. However, a few of the taps and dies were a bit difficult to start threading with. With a little patience, they worked fine. This set is perfect for DIY enthusiasts and professionals alike. Overall, it's a great value for the money and has made my projects a little easier and give them a more "finished" appearance

These tools are for restoring threads on nuts and bolts, it is not a tap and die kit. This is clearly stated in the description but for those who just give it a cursory glance they might get the wrong impression.The tools appear to be well made and are of high quality. I especially like how the kit is organized. SAE coarse thread tools are silver, fine thread tools are black. All metric tools are gold colored. The thread chasing files are black without respect to metric or SAE but they are clearly marked for what thread pitch each side is used for.The storage case is very well made and makes keeping the tools organized a breeze. There is a laminated paper that is in the case that calls out just what thread each tool is for. They suggest that you do not throw that paper away as the tools sit in their designated pockets but they do not snap into the pockets (with the exception of the thread pitch gauges and the thread chasing files). If you throw that paper away the tools will be loose and not held in place.The three thread chasing files are double ended and have a slip cover that you pull off to expose the other end of the file. I found that if I hold the cover too tightly it does not come off easily, a light touch is needed to remove the cover.Very nice kit and should cover the majority of thread restoring needs for most passenger cars and trucks, along with other fastener applications.

A nice set of thread chasers in all the common sizes. I've used them on damaged and dirty threads and has done a good job cleaning them up. the chasing nits could be a little deeper as they don't go all the way down to the root but good enough to accept a nut. Handy to have around the shop.

Been try to find a affordable tap & die set. This has been very useful. So far its working as advertised. not issuse yet.
