My much-loved camera has a new lease of life
Quick delivery and thrilled to be able to use my Lumix camera after being unable to source a replacement via Panasonic . An expensive camera, rendered obsolete by its manufacturer for want of an own-brand battery? Absurd situation, demonstrating a careless attitude to the consumer. My thanks to Blumax for filling this gap.

The battery did not work and would not charge, either faulty or incompatible, I cannot recommend it.
This item was bought as a replacement battery for my Lumix FZ38 camera, on arrival I installed it in my camera, it fitted perfectly but would not operate the camera, I removed the battery and checked the battery output which showed 0 volts (most new batteries show some voltage), I then attempted to put the new battery on charge (the battery description on Amazon said it was fully compatible with the original charger) the charge light came on for approximately 5 seconds and then went out, I tried again and again with the same result every time, I contacted Amazon to return it, they said as is a Lithium battery (hazardous item) it would cost more to return it than it is worth, they advised disposal at a recycling centre and say they have refunded me the original cost. I do not feel confident enough to order another in case I have the same problem again. A bad experience.

Good substitute for Panasonic camera battery
This battery is being used in my camera. It works well as a substitute. For the aged batter that came with the camera.

Faulty or not compatible with my FZ38
Bought this to replace and old battery for my FZ38. When I put it in the charger the green light comes on for 5 seconds then goes out. I thought this might be because the battery was fully charged but it doesn't work in the camera at all. Tried several times and still the same. Old battery still charges and works so presume this replacement is faulty or just not compatible (despite being advertised as so). Got a refund from Amazon but not risking another one.
